Im in a similar situation and I feel your pain. I have been dealing with a tight feeling my throat for around 1 1/2 years now. I still remember the exact day it started. It happened randomly while I was eating and I also thought I was having an allergic reaction. I had a panic attack and went to the ER. They couldnt find anything wrong and Ive had almost every test done. MRIs, Endoscope, Barium Swallow, with no luck. Whats strange about it is that it is in basically one area on the left side of my throat People just seem to think its in my head now and that I just need to stop thinking about it and it will go away. If that was the case than I dont understand how it got there in the first place. Its really stressful thinking that there is something wrong and people just tell you to not worry about it. It really has taken a toll on my life. I know people have way worse issues but when something is bothering you and you dont have an answer it is extremely frustrating. Did you ever find an answer this post was some time ago. If you did I would love to know what you found out. Thanks and I hope you feel better.

Just wanted to share some of my findings with this sensation.I had a severe illness 2 years ago, it involved inflammation around my heart sac, called pericarditis. It's rare. I was on the sofa for 18 months. Then I took matters into my mown hands-cut allgluten-began a daily vitamin, began ndrinking 6 oz of water with a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar with mother (geth the kind with mother or it wont work, its cloudly not clear) I got 80% better in just a few weeks. I began to have this throat issue about 6 months ago.I know it can be heart related, it can be nerve related, it can be gastric-but I am still dealing with it. I found many things that affect the throat-thyroid probs or a nodule -also, if you are deficient in B vitamins, IT CAUSES THROATPROBS! I am now noticing I get the tight throat, and a very "squeezed" soundign voice! I can barely sing (I'm a pro singer) but its way better than it was at first-I felt like something was stuck in my throat back then, it was awful Now it comesand goes and has gotten a little less intense. I just noticed I ate a bowl of oat based ceral (no gluten in that) with milk &immediately got the tight throat, high pitched voice etc. Lots of gas. Gluten intolerance comes on in middle age sometimes-like me. And, the molocules in milk are close in nature to gluten-so I am wondering if you all have the gluten problem too. Milk is definitely next on my list to avoid to see. It's like an allergic reaction when your throat closes, and also mine gets red when bad too. Add in a neti pot and rinse your sinuses, just in case that's causing an issue. Do all this for a whuile and see what happens. I truly think a lot of us have developed a gluten/dairy allergy. It's rampant in the USA and no one knows why. Give it
