My 2 year old broke her collar bone about 4 weeks ago, she kept her sling on for only a few days then started taking it out and pulling it off. She has now gone for her 4 week x-ray which showed it has healed wrong and may require surgery, do you think its too late for a sling to mend it?
A liitle one has the ability to heal much faster than an adult and I know how hard it can be to keep a 2 year old immobilized! Because the bone's have mended themselves back together the way they have i don't think another sling can fix it at this point. Have you seen an Orthapedic Specialist who deal's specifically with young children?
BBfeet is right. If the bones have healed wrong then it's likely that no, a sling won't help at this point.
She needs to be evaluated and a Pediatric Orthopedic Specialist would be the best choice.
