I'm thirteen and I just ate fresh pineapple. Now my tongue is itchy and it is burning. Why is this happening? When will it stop burning?

It could be that you're possibly allergic to pineapple its best if you tell your mom because if it swells up you can be in a heap of trouble.
I was in a similar situation several years ago when I ate most of a fresh pineapple. All of a sudden I screamed and my tongue started burning so badly and it also started bleeding profusely. Now I have permanent cracks throughout the surface of my tongue. This situation has been permanent for me. I'm assuming that both yours and my situations had to do with the acid in the pineapple. I've never been to a doctor about it. I would recommend that you see a doctor though.
oh i used to have this all the time until i kept earting eat for 2 weeks then it didn't burn. so if you keep estingin for bout 2 weeks it wont burn no more hopefully :) but if your tongue has swollen up i would call 999 or 911 whatever the number is lol! now!

I got a metallic taste in my mouth after eating pineapple. Does that mean I'm allergic to it? The corners of my mouth are getting really itchy.
