I folded and ended up having to call my surgeon yesterday (Sunday) to see about getting more pain meds. He said the pain is at a normal amount for my time post op but I think it's an awful lot. The pain meds work and since they are liquid they seem to work pretty fast. I had planned on going into the office today but since I can't go more than 4 hours w/out meds I decided I best work from the couch today.

Like others, the mornings are just about unbearable. My throat is so sore and stiff from the night I can hardly open it enough to even get the meds in. INSANE!

So far, the best day was the first day...had all the drugs from the operation till in my system.

I am taking 2 laxatives a day to combat constipation since I am taking so much narcs. but so far no results. I am hoping something happens soon cause I really don't want to be miserable with that end too!
Saw my ENT today for my post-op visit. He seemed to think my pain was more on the severe end of his adult patients but said everything looked normal for 6 days out. He gave me a steriod shot, Celestone, to boost the Prednisone I'm already taking in hopes it will get me over the hump. He gave me a new script for pain pills that should work better than the liquid. So far, I haven't noticed anything different from the shot and the pain meds do seem to be working better. I don't have to see him again unless I have problems.

I am going to try to make it into the office tomorrow.
