I am on metformin and clomid for over 6 months.. I did produce fertile eggs but no pregnancy.. went to specialist yesterday he put me on femera 2.5x2 a day for 5 days.. I read all ur post and gave me hope but I am still worried this may not work... the dr thinks it may be too thick mucas.. has anyone else have this problem? He stated if this did not work he may have to directly put the sperm into egg but my husband does not want to that he wants it to happen the old fashion way... :'(
You could ask your doctor about doing IUI that way the sperm doesnt' have to travel through the mucus. I have been on femera for 3 cycles and this time my doctor will be checking my mucus thickness after I have an LH surge. I would talk to your husband and let him know that they can help you to get pregnant without making your child a "test tube baby". I had to have the same discussion with my husband about this. Guys most of the time dont' understand what it is like and that we are exploring all of our options to have a child of our own and that it is hard on us (maybe even harder: I know for me it is I feel that it is all my fault that we can't get pregnant I have PCOS) Good Luck! :-)
