I have taken 5 home pregnancy tests and they have been positive. I've been having cramps and recently some spotting so I went to a pregnancy clinic and the test was negative. What does this mean?

I took two hpt tests, one last night, and one this morning. They were both negative. I have been having all symptoms of early pregnancy. What should I do? Wait to take another test or go to the doctor?
