I have the same thing between my ribs and I'm 13 I've had it since I was 11 tho. It doesn't cause me any pain unless I suck in then it hurts.

I have fibromyalgia and have been told that the pain in my big rib bone on my right side is caused from it. The pain starts at my backbone and will run the entire length of my rib bone towards my front. It can be very painful at times and I can not stand longer than 3 hrs. At a time, which makes me have to have a sit down job. I hate this because I'm used to being very active in my work going all day on my feet. Currently taking 150 milligrams a day of Lyrica which I think an make me forgetful and dingy! Any one with any suggestions? Please help. Have been to dr about this and she just says they are muscle spasms (which they don't feel like one) to me. The exact pain will sometimes move to the other side approximately same rib sometimes. Any feedback would greatly appreciated. Thanks,Carol Ann

My boy is only two years old and he has it too. I spotted it tonight. I am taking him to see a doctor in the morning. I am so worried.

You're having the exact same problem that I'm having. So far i've done an ultrasound and an esophagram. Both cam up negative. I just did an x-ray today. I was told if nothing shows up then ill have to do a chest CT. I told her something needs to be done because 2 yrs ago i did not have a lump and it's getting bigger.

Praise the Lord. Praise Jesus. I just found the same thing on me. Comforting to see many more out there have it and are living with it. I will still see a doctor but it's right between my ribs directly under my sternum. From seeing these other guys talk about it I'm kind of gathering that it's cartilage. Still shouldn't be swollen like that.

I have the same thing. I've haven't asked anyone about it I'm 15 years old 16 in march. I've noticed it a few years ago but didn't think of it very much just thinking it wad fat. But it's gotten bigger in the last couple of months.

I have what seems to be a muscle right in between my ribs. It gets bigger if I flex my abdominal muscles. I don't know if this is the same thing any of you guys have, but I want to know if it is a problem in general.

Please tell your mom, I had similar experience at your age turned out to be a cyst!!! But the relief of knowing was great and your mom can always be there for you in situations like this, as a mother of 6, please tell your mom!!
