I had a medical abortion on Wednesday. I was 6 weeks and 6 days pregnant. I don't feel I have to justify my reasons for the abortion as I know in my mind that I did the right thing, and have no regrets.
After reading all the horror stories on the Internet I prepared myself for the worst, preparing for huge amounts of pain and a lot of blood.
I took the 4 pills orally at 2:50pm and hurried home, by 3:30pm I was in extreme pain, I just burst into tears and lay dead still hoping id fall asleep. By 4pm the pain subsided so I finally plucked up the courage to stand up and go to the toilet. Upon this I passed a large clot, at least 3-4 inches in length. After which I was completely fine the pain ceased and bleeding subsided about half an hour later I passed another 2 clots which were pretty small. And for the rest of the night I was fine.
The next day I took the antibiotics given to me by the nurse and felt well enough in myself to return to college. The antibiotics were the worst they knocked me completely. I felt dizzy and sick and these I believed were worse than the day before I ended up being sent home at 9:30am due to being sat in the toilet the whole time. After four hours (I assume the antibiotics had worn off) I was fine and able to get on with things that needed doing.
Today I feel mentally and physically fine, bleedingg is now very minimal to the point where I feel it may stop soon but my question is I'm concerned because of how easy (physically) it was has it been unsuccessful? I assumed bleeding would last for 2 weeks and didn't expect to pass the pregnancy less than an hour after taking the tablets. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
The only for sure way to find out is by going and seeing your doctor
Tho is exactly how I am feeling.
I'had my EMA 5 days ago, and as I did not experience horrific pain etc as described in so many posts I am doubting if it has worked.
Your post was a few months ago so I'd be interested was your successful at your follow up?
