The exercises are for pelvic floor muscles. I'm sorry that you find it to be "out of your comfort zone", but it must be more comfortable than wearing pads all of the time. It's the same muscles that you use to stop your urine flow. It's very natural to exercise these muscles just as much as your biceps.

Hi, your situation sounds a lot like mine, so I wanted to see what your doctor said and if you've had any relief? I just had a full hysterectomy three weeks ago due to huge ovarian cysts, and have now started having the same symptoms as you've described - started with a different light discharge, was tested for a UTI that was negative, and am now having more and more actual leakage. Did you have to have another surgery for your bladder? I hope you're feeling better.

Ladies I have been experiencing this too. My doctor told me I need to work strengthing my pelvic muscles and abdomen. Those muscles are weak and not being used to having some more room now with your uterus gone. So keagals and crunches will become your best friend!

I am 3 weeks post-op, whilst having a half laprosc/half vaginal hysterectomy, the surgeon burnt right through my uretha!!! Didn't know this at first, I came out of hospital the day after my op and suffered water infection/kidney infections immediately . After two courses of antibiotics and two visits to the out of hours surgery came the "leakage"!!! It was like a tap had been left on. I just could not stop the flow of urine yet my bladder seemed to be filling up too and working fine? Got told to go to AnE, They didn't have a clue and referred me back to the ward where after several scans with dye etc.... showed that the uretha was severely damaged! They tried fitting a stent but couldn't get it through so they put in a kidney tube and bag to stop the kidney from swelling anymore and to hopefully dry me out as I was urinating inside for weeks causing irritation and told me that they will operate when the swelling has gone down from the hysterectomy. They suspect the uretha tube has been that badly damaged that they will have to move my bladder and fit a new tube! I'm currently sat in nappies and reckon that it will be 3/4 months before they can redo the surgery. I'm just starting to get fed up and i'm very worried that they may not fix me up properly. Really hope no one else suffers this, and if they do... MAKE SURE you get seen too by a capable surgeon x Has anyone else had this happen to them and if so.... what was the outcome?

Hi, I'm almost 4 weeks post-hysterectomy, & at the almost 3 week point started noticing leakage out of my vagina. It is now pouring out of my vagina & I know that I must have more surgery. I am very upset about this!!! I had the newest robot-assisted hysterectomy & my husband said my surgeon was out talking to him at the 55 minute mark! Makes me wonder if she was trying to make a new record time in my surgery.

I had a partial hysterectomy almost a year ago and still have urine leakage when I cough and sneeze. It is very embarrassing and I am only 26. I sure it's permanent as it has been almost a year.
