my gyn. suggested the use of the contraceptive Novynette, which I started on the 1st day of my period (Friday 30 October). The strange thing is that today (Friday 6 November), I still have my period! Before starting Novynette, I had a five-day period.....is this normal?

I really don't know much about Novynette, but usually you have your normal period when you start the birth control. One day is not a big problem at all. Your body needs to adjust to the pill and you may have some strange things happening to your body in the hole first month.
Has doctor told you anything more about Novynette? Were you able to find some more info on it?
