My symptoms are very uncomfortable to live with and to talk about. Entrance of my vagina has become very itchy, swollen and dandruff. That itching is persistent, and the whole area is very irritated and red. I’m pretty sure not to have std because have one partner and use protection. I’m 17 years old, and have visited gyn only once. I don’t even have my gyn. What can this be? Thanks.

Well, you may have vulval dermatitis. This sounds me like that, because it is actually not gynaecological, it is disorder that affects vulval skin. Dermatitis can be caused by material that your panties are made of, by gym clothes, pure wool clothes even, or some of the soap and bath ingredients. If you really have developed vulval dermatitis, which can be diagnosed at the doctor’s, you have to know what you hypersensitive on are and to avoid that. There is a possibility that woman can be allergic on latex that condom is made of.

Hi!! I am having the same itch problem with mine..It has dandruff, some have like "butlig"(blisters) and so itchy. At first, it was just a small part of my vagina, but then I realized it is getting bigger. I have realized that I begin to have these when I used pantyliners, so now I stopped using them. But still, I have them and I don't know what to put to cure them. Any advice?
Thanks!!

When I had that my gyno told me I had a yeast infection, maybe she just didn't feel like going into detail and vulval dermatitis is a type of yeast infection, but either way, I got a prescription and it went away right away. I think you should go see a gyno though. That's not something you want to guess about.

My friend once had an experience of having yeast infection, what her gyne prescribed was a betadine wash. I'm actually using it because I also have yeast infection right now. It actually relieves the itch and the irritation.

If you can't go to a gyno and don't want to shell out the cash for Monostat (which to be honest never worked for me) I suggest this all natural fix. I know this may sound gross but take it from me it's a god send. Basically you take a garlic clove, a clean sterilized needle, and clean thead. Use the needle and thread to give the garlic a tail, not unlike a tampon. You'll also want to score the garlic clove (make sure you've peeled the papery skin off before doing all this). Then all you do is put the garlic clove up there just like it were a tampon. I've done a lot of research on this and it is safe is everything you use is sterile. The garlic will balance your ph and kill the bad bacteria. The only side effect I've noticed from using this technique multiple times is that everything tastes and smells like garlic, don't worry I've asked multiple people and they can't smell the garlic, only you can. I hope this helps you as much as it's helped me! I've actually cured yeast infections using this technique when I catch them early enough. It's especially helpful when you get one when your doctors office isn't open. It at the very lease alleviates the painful itching.
