hello
I'm 20 years old and I am about to get married. Just recently I went to the Gyno So I can get on the Pill. Now almost a week later I am still have a little viginal bleeding. Its not painful or anything and its not a lot at all. But I am still worried. When I went to the Gyno I was told they couldnt do the exam because "I was too small" So I have to go back after I am married. And then they could do the exam. So I think i didnt even have the full exam. But she did try so, could that be the reason I am having this problem?
Thank you

It is almost certain that your bleeding has something to do with your exam unless you had sex and in some way aggravated vaginal walls or cervix. Also if you have some sort of cervix inflammation, inserting anything inside or having sex could have provoked the slight bleeding.
I always have bleeding after a gyno’s visit. Once I got so scared that I went there the following day. She told me it was from a brush she used to examine me during papa smear. It was the cervix it was bleeding (the end of vagina and beginning of the uterus) because cells on the cervix are very thin and sensitive and bleed easily.
Now, I don’t know if your gynecologist managed to go that far. Maybe she broke a little bit of your hymen, so you are bleeding because of that. However, hymen bleeds only for a day or two max.
Anyway, I don’t think this is something to worry about. However, if it persists for the next week, feel free to visit your gyno and see what it is all about.
