I've found that using creams like alo vera, or softvaj around the edges of my vaginal passage (not in it) have helped immensly. It also smells nice and fresh.
Give it a go, it may work for your girlfriends.
There have been reports of an alergic reaction with various lube or with soaps, scents or lotions that men have used... or that women have used to clean up with.
The post just above has some great suggestions.
I have heard many cases of this, after i had my first experience with a girl who had to stop having sex because of a raw burning. I noticed how very rigid & tight her vagina was so i guess she knew what would happen eventually and was anxious, apprehensive and afraid of what was to transpire. After years of not knowing this ( thinking i was rubbish at sex), i realized it was a common thing with many Women. So i researched this so thoroughly, and found things synonymous with many many Women which by my observations is increasing more and more, to the point where i realized that the symptoms are similar to menopausal Women.
Some things here that were a resounding fact that it became a process of elimination and proof after seeing the signs aswell as hearing and talking to people, reading testimonials, posts and help questions.
1. The chemicals in soaps, body washes, bath soaps (bubble bath) etc, all contain very harmful chemicals. And there are not just a few, these products are inundated with highly toxic substances, that 90% of them are listed as harmful to human health, cause skin problems, pain, sores and rashes, including dermatitis, to skin especially in sensitive areas. Now, what became even more revealing, was what happens when people wash too much with these products. Yes....wash TOO much!!
Every section of the body that deals with secretion glands and sensitive areas, require the bodies own sweat. Human sweat harbors it's own natural anti-biotic elements of bacteria that has not fermented yet, but contains incredibly strong substances that fight off infection, foreign bacterias and fungal diseases. But when you wash these off the skin, it leaves it vulnerable and open to every foreign bacteria to attack it. Thats not all, the chemicals in the soaps etc, are even more destructive when it enters the inner part of the genitals. chemicals in the water seep into the vagina area, beneath the clitoral area but also into the urethra which will cause problems ejaculating from the paraurethral ducts, but the biggest cause for concern is in the vaginal walls, cervix, endometrium and uterus .
Just like Men who have urethra infections, ejaculation and urination is extremely painful, during and for a long time afterwards. In both Men and Women, this is quite dangerous, because bacteria aswell as toxic chemicals spread into the prostate, bladder and urinary tract (Men) and into the tract and bladder of the Woman because it is shorter in length than Men, this can spread to kidneys, liver and enter the blood.
These create wounds to the delicate soft tissues of the tracts and tubes that become sore when the waste products that reside in urine pass these wounds thus causing infection. But within the vagina, it is a very different situation, because the risk of infection rising into the higher vaginal area and into the re-productive areas, is a very serious situation indeed. This can easily occur, when a Woman has cleaned herself with these harsh chemical soaps etc far too much and far too regularly, and has intercourse with a Man who has bacteria on his Penis, especially if he has hair. the vulnerable Womans vagina, both outside and inside, will be bombarded with bacterias it cannot fight off because they have been removed. If She has any hair, it will harbor sweat secretions that will ferment and bacteria will reside there and also act against an unprotected skin surface. This again will be increasingly noticeable when spots and rashes appear on newly shaved or waxed areas of the genitals. But, after sex, most people wash themselves again, removing bacteria etc they have on their bodies. which is of course imperative, but when using these soaps etc, remove ALL bacteria, which is the danger. When you remove the bodies own surface sweat and bacteria, like i said before, you leave skin open to attack, and whilst sleeping, these bacterias really do attack, and any presence of another bacteria especially from male or female genitalia breeds bacteria, especially if oral sex has been performed before hand.
If people could see their skin through a powerful microscope after they wash with these cosmetic products, you'll understand how and why so many Men and Women develop sexual orientated problems. in basics, people strip their protective shields with toxic products, and leave themselves open to attack, especially when sex is undertaken. The burning during sex is not because of dryness etc, it is because of the chemical wounds and the aftermath of bacterial infections that cause inflammation, sores and like any sore, increases the sensitivity of nerve endings to no longer respond normally, but an over compensated response for pain because the anti-bodies and t-cells are fighting the problem, and when touched, trigger these highly sensitive nerve endings. no part of the body that is repairing an infected wound will be free from a very intense pain when touched because the reason for the inflammation is healing. When a Womans vagina is inundated with heavy bacterial presence, she will have increased pain during her period, because not only will the bacteria have infected her vaginal walls and tissues, but like any defective part of the body, the immune system works twice as hard to clean & flush out the foreign germs and bacteria. Women will see this by their heavy clotting. But this is also related to not enough personal daily hygiene, where natural bacteria is left to ferment on the skin, to mix and at times become hosts for other bacterias, parasites etc to infest themselves on the skin, but also inside the genital orifices and under the skin itself......it is not long before they infest the inner body and cause parasitical diseases.
2. Women smokers are poisoning their wombs and vaginas because of the toxic chemicals that are in the tobacco product cause necrosis and will succumb to regular weeping of fluid from the vagina, which also spreads bacteria and fungal disease on the surface, and because these fluids contain fermenting juices, blood and bacteria, it can cause a smell similar to fish or rotting meat (dead blood). there is a severe lack of oxygen influx in the blood but also, smoking robs the body of vitamin C. This dampens the immune system terribly thus causing an inability to fight off infection. This in turn will lead to the problems associated with the 1st part. Women do not realize that even if they stop smoking before they have a baby, the remaining tar, nicotine, formaldehyde etc, all store themselves which turn the placenta a deathly grey and is the main cause of infertility, miscarriages and cervical infections. Male smokers are just as at risk, such as prostate, liver, testicular and sperm damage. little do scientists know that a Father of an unborn child will cause a lot of harm to the baby from his defective sperm through smoking. the stored toxins and chemicals must be out of the system for up to 7 months.
3. The other factor is high trans fats and high sugar intake, or obesity. the cause of yeast infections.
4. Another factor is high alcohol consumption. Another cause of yeast infections, bladder infections and paraurethral duct infections
5. Another factor is medications, more so in the way of anti pregnancy medications, blood thinners and anti-biotics.
6. Make up, hair dyes, fake tan and other immunotoxic chemicals that create some of the worst internal and external health disorders i have ever witnessed!!
7. Anal sex ( i don't think i have to tell anyone about the serious implications of interchanging vaginal and anal sex), oral sex aswell as sleeping with multiple partners regularly. Even as far as not washing hands before masturbation.
8. Psychological disorders, neurological disorders, emotional disorders, addictions, urges, vice, lack of dignity or self respect, will breed a sequence of circumstances that cause problems of a destructive un-natural nature to a 100% organically natural Human system.
After an accumulation resulting in high toxicity and high deficiency....the person will succumb to an implosion of serious heath issues and immunity disorders!! So think, learn, educate yourselves, be responsible and stay healthy. =)
Wow, this is the first time I have heard of someone with a similar condition to mine...
My problem is the skin around the opening of the vagina... it feels like an OPEN WOUND... RAW.... When I touch it (or anything touches it) it feels like you are stabbing your finger into an open wound. It hurts to even put 1 finger in or a tampon... Though, once the object is in (penis, finger, dildo.. the pain usually subsides or gets masked by the pleasure).
I am tired of going to Ob/gyns and having them tell me "It's all in your head.. you're creating the pain because you're anticipating it" NO, IT'S REAL PAIN! I have tried 3 different doctors and none of them have been able to help me. The last doctor I had told me I need to use more lube and I need VAGINAL THERAPY. It's a bunch of bullcrap. I produce a LOT of discharge, so being "wet" is NOT a problem. Just like you said with your girlfriend.
I have yet to find anything to help my problem :( My boyfriend and I have been together for 5 years... it's getting to the point where I do not want sex at all... it's really hurting our relationship... This is the first time I have read anything that sounds like my condition; I am relieved to know other people have this problem because whenever I talk with my sister or mom or doctors... they do not understand me :(
I wish I could just have some surgery to remove some of the skin around the opening of my vagina... My mom said she remembers hearing something on OPERA about a similar problem... They said that some women have extra nerve endings at the opening of their vaginas and that it causes pain or a raw feeling... Since then, I have been trying to find the article from that episode; I've had no luck :( I want answers... I'm frustrated...
Thank you for sharing your story; I feel better that I'm not the only one dealing with this, but I'm sad that it seems nothing is being done about this problem :(
In addition to my above comment (Ellette- that was me):
I read some of the other posts saying how it might be an allergic reaction or something with soaps or sperm. In my case, this is NOT the problem :( I have had this problem since I was a little girl--BEFORE ever having sex or trying to use a tampon. I do not use ANY scented item, and I only use ALOE gel as lotion (which I apply 3 to 5 times a day). This has not helped my condition, sadly...
I am a doctor you all have a condition called vaginismus it is both a psychological and mechanical disorder of the vaginal vault. Vaginal training with dilators and councelling will achieve a 72% cure rate , qouted in a chocerane review in 2001
Can you tell me what the cream was you got to help?I be tryed so much and I'm in so much pain.
vulvodynia/vestibulitis i have this condition. my dr actually said she has never seen a worse case than mine in her career. i actually had to have a biopsy and will now die rather than have another and i'm not exaggerating. but talking to an ob/gyn is your best bet for diagnosis. i had to learn this from an ob/gyn surgeon, and she is the best in the state. good luck.
