My son is 15 Months old, and the Pediatrician referred me to a Urologist for him. She says he has a hernia.
I don't see the necessity for Surgery.
My MIL and Husband's family are hounding me about making him undergo surgery right away. Although, I'm sure it is not as urgent as they make it out to be. Otherwise, why would it take months to get a stupid Dr. Appointment?!?!?!

I want to know the Worst Case Senario! What would happen if I don't take him to get surgery? Will he lose an appendage?? Will it kill or maim him?? Will it reduce his quality of life somehow?? I think that this might be another unnecessary surgery that is being pushed to make money.

Please somebody give it to me straight! I want an unbiased opinion = someone that doesn't stand to gain or lose by the outcome.
