I have been suffering with a condition that I can not quite find a cure or answer for. About a year and half ago I moved to Florida from Ohio. I started having vertigo so bad that when I laid down the entire room would spin around. I still have this. Sometimes I am dizzy in  daytime when shopping. I had all this checked out and had a brain scan which showed nothing. I did go through this test that tested me for vertigo and determined that yes I had the uncontrolled rapid eye movement when turned certain ways and when warm water was introduced into my ears. I was diagnosed with Positional Vertigo. I went to therapist and had positioning treatments which helped a little but not all that much and it kept coming back. Then I realized I had severe allergies because at the same time I had the vertigo I noticed I was having sneezing and my right eye swelled up and I felt like I had a hive or cyst on my optic nerve. So I went to the eye Dr. and allergists. They looked under my eye lid and said I had hives under the eyelid, lots of them. So they put me on Prednizone to get rid of it fast. It does make it much better but one can not stay on Prednizone for ever. So they also told me to take Allegra in the morning and Zyrtek in the evening along with two different nose sorays and Pataday for my eyes.  I continue doing all of this just to keep it somewhat controlled. I went for allergy testing. It says I have an allergy to cats, and dogs. I have had dogs  for years so it is hard to believe it would flare up with the dogs all of a sudden. I noticed the vertigo and allergy gets way worse before or during rain and when grass pollens, juniper, pine , elder and oak pollens are prevalent.Tests did not show these items. These symptoms are very severe. Does anyone else have this? Has anyone found anything to help? I can't take the allergy shots because it causes me to sneeze. They do not find wax buildup or fluid in my ears. But where my inner ear is located I feel full sometimes and nothing helps but the Allegra and Zyrtek and Benedryl. Ok you medical students , diagnose me and help me. Someone, anyone, help! Thank you.

I have had the exact same problem for 5 years now. I have unexplained boughts of vertigo between the months of May and September every year. I've also been tested for everything (MRI, vestibular, etc). All tests came back negative. I have noticed that my boughts of vertigo usually happen when Juniper is high and when it is raining and almost always between April and September. I have been able to isolate the issue to my right ear. I have found that if I avoid sleeping on my right side, I do much better. The doctor put me on the low sodium, no caffeine, no alcohol diet (fun) in August of 2012. Since following this diet it is now April 2013, I have only had one day of severe dizziness (not quite vertigo), it was today - and that was after I had eaten alot of sodium the day before (my bad!). The doc's are hesitant to call it Menieres since all my tests came back negative, but they say that's probably what it is but aren't going to officially label me with it. I think I'm going to see an allergist about Juniper. I'm not much help other than I hope it makes you feel better that you are not alone!

It's caused by dairy products. They cause inner ear "disturbance". The doctors will not tell you. They'll just keep taking your $ til you run out of $ or die, whichever comes first. Dairy also causes tinnitus. All this suffering and the corrupt med. est. won't tell the truth. Big money maker.
