I have used Afrin for 10 years (well in Belgium it's called Nessivine but it is the same: oxymetazoline). I spoke to this to a physician which prescribed me Nasonex (that you can have over the counter too in Belgium): didn't work and make my nose dry. The doctor prescribed me oral steroid too: no effect at all. I am in te process of trying the dilution method. I now use 90% saline 10% Afrin which still works but pure saline doesn't. At wonder at which point I will be off if at all. A lot of people have succeeded the dilution method. What's the last dilution before complete weaning?
