Im 19 and im having the same thing my nipples hurt like crazy clothes can brush against or water can splash on them and they hurt but I'm on birth control I've been I'm it for almost 3 years did it fail on me i didn't use a condom with the guy i was with i know how stupid that was it was just a one night thing can you please tell me if you ever found out if you were pregnant or not thanks

I'm 20 and this has been happening for me aswell for almost a week. I have been sexually active in the past but the last time I had sex was over 6 months ago so I know I'm not pregnant. nor do I smoke cigarettes or weed. I only drink on occasion. anyone have any answers?

I quit smoking weed over 3 months ago and I also know I'm ovulating. Somehow having these symptoms makes sense to why my nipples have been sensitive.  I'm not pregnant either.

Ive been prego 5 times. Alwsys had dore breasts n nipples very early on. As early as 4 weeks. Nauses can happen st any part of the day. Get a test girls.

Hi, I am 34, it is Nov 1st today, I stopped taking the pill on Sept 21 and I have still not gotten a period. For the last coupla days I've had extremely sensitive nipples and was almost convinced I was pregnant. I just woke up and took a test and the result was negative. So this sensitivity is merely due to hormonal imbalances right now, which I was actually warned about.

I'm having the exact same problems at 20 years old. My nipples have been so sore that sometimes touching them would make me cry. Also my breasts have been so extremely tender and sore they hurt to touch. I am over 40 days past my missed period and I have taken 2 hpt and a blood test a week ago all negative. I've been nauseous the past 3 days but no actual vomiting. I'm still semi convinced I'm pregnant but basically have no concrete evidence besides sore breasts to take to my Dr. I'm really interested to hear anybody else's opinion. My fiance is convinced I'm broken, I'm hoping for a better answer.

I'm 22 and also suffering with sore, erect nipples and my veins are also extremely visible, they have been like this for 5 days and it is excruciating, I move and they hurt! I have tried; wearing loads of different bras, not wearing a bra at all, different materials, creams, tablets an nothing seems to work. My periods have been irregular since I first got them and I can go up to 4 months without having one, I've never had this syptom before a period before, plus I always get cramps beforehand and none to go with the sore nipples. There is a huge posibility of me being pregnant, I had unprotected sex a month ago. But a week ago I split with my boyfriend of 3 years, so needless to say I've been balling my eyes out like a baby & stressed out like a gooden, stress can cause this and can confuse you with syptoms of pregnancy, I've also had a headache constantly, eating for the whole country, feeling sick late at night and sleeping for over 12 hours! To anyone under 20, I've found that it is most likely the fact that you are still growing so unless there's a chance you're pregnant, you will just have to (unfortunately) deal with it, been there and I know growing pains are a b*tch! However if you are over 20, it could be stress, even something small that maybe you don't realise is even affecting you? Also changes in your hormones. I'm unsure about the pill as I haven't been on it in over 6 months so I doubt that would be affecting me now. I am going to the doctors next week to check out all posibilities, if I find any useful information I will post it. Sorry for the essay. Good luck to everyone!

Okay so a bunch of you are 19 and experiencing this. I'm 20 and also experiencing this. I think our breasts are just growing but due to it being such a delicate hormone-controlled area it's having strange effects and we're all freaking out. Chill out ladies! We're just getting bigger boobies! :D

Strangely I'm also 19 and having this problem, however I had my nipple pierced a few weeks ago, although that doesn't really explain why my other nipple is erect.. I'm worrying any pregnancy now!

if you are only having sore nipples there's a chance you are pregenent - but most likely -- you are just having sore breasts. It's happened to me periodically over the years - it's normal! Now if you are also missing your period you should take a test.

Hi ladies, I am 45, no chance of being pregnant and all of a sudden both of my nipples and the area around them became super sensitive. It got to the point of not being able to wear a bra or take a shower. There has been no known change to my diet, medications, soaps, etc. I went to the doctor and blood work ruled out any hormone imbalance or thyroid issues. Mammogram came back normal. My physician did not seem overly concerned because it is occuring in both breasts simultaneously. (Cancer very, very rarely attacks both breasts at the same time and in the same fashion) Her advice to me: give it time and apply cool compresses to ease discomfort. She stated that the nipples are easily irritated because they are one of the most sensitive parts of the body. If you are not positive that you are not pregnant, please rule that out first.
