I have been dealing with what I thought was just the common cold. Well I believe the cold is gone, but I can not seem to get rid of this sore throat. Today it seems to be worse than ever. To be honest it is very painful. I took a flash light and went in the bathroom and looked in the mirror at my throat. I can not really see my throat very well, but did notice that my taste buds on the back of my tongue seem to be extremely large. It seems to be on only one side of my tongue way back there. I felt of them with my finger and they are very sore to the touch. The soreness is on the back of my tongue and goes on the same side in my throat. The size of my taste buds is what has me concerned. I am considering going to the doctor tomorrow. My only hesitation is that I did have a cold recently and I do not want to overreact by running to the doctor and looking stupid. Should I not go to the doctor and give this a few more days to see if what ever it is clears up, or do I go to the doctor? I am a very active person. I am married, have a 4 year old daughter, and I go to school full time during the day. So I don't have time to hurt or to be sick. If someone could please get back with me about the huge taste buds, and pain. I would very much appreciate it. Thanks, Jenny Harrell
