sounds like I.B.S ... I have been diagnosed with it and let me tell you it accounts for 90% of the bloating and so forth.

I think I may have the answer for some you... I am 5'8 145 pounds. I am very slender with curves in the right places. I suffered from the same distended belly for years. I did cross-fit and was int he best shape I'd ever been. I would always feel bloated when I ate throughout the day. My stomach as many of you experienced, was as if I were pregnant. I did a lot of sucking in and tummy exercises to combat this bloated pest. The bloating made me feel really self conscious and I wanted it to stop. I told my Dr. and within 10 min of telling him my symptoms, voila'! He felt he discovered the culprit. Wait for it..... ah ha, a Gluten intolerance, gluten allergy and even maybe Celiac Disease! I was blood tested and the results were negative for Celiac however, I had a gluten sensitivity. Thus, my intestines were inflamed causing discomfort and bloating among other symptoms. I could have gone totally gluten free but that is a very restrictive lifestyle. Celiac patients have to cut gluten because their intestines could have permanent damage so I was grateful not to have Celiac. My sensitivity was more manageable. I turned to a great deal of research and to make a long story shorter, I began the Paleo diet. While some nutritionists disagree with this eating lifestyle (not a diet) I found it to work for me. My bloating almost completely diminished unless, I gave in to what is called, cheat day. Those days proved to cause my intestines to react per the usual. In essence, I was diagnosed with a true sensitivity to gluten. Paleo cuts bread and most carbohydrates from your diet. It is pretty much a lifestyle that means, eating what you can grow or kill. Meaning, vegetables, fruits, nuts, berries and meats. I would suggest more research because this is a very basic tell all regarding paleo and gluten etc... You have to commit to research and consulting a Physician. DO NOT self diagnose, that could be to your detriment. I wish you all well and I hope I have given you some insight as to the possible cause of tummy distention. Take care, mind body and soul.

Everyday, I wake up with a flat stomach (sometimes slightly flatter than other mornings, but thin and fine nonetheless.) but throughout the day, I notice and feel a change in my stomach and it gets... Like... Bigger? Bloated? This happens every single day - but I can't remember how long this has been going on for. Sometimes it hurts when I suck my stomach in and sometimes it just feels uncomfortable, but it bothers me a lot. I am only 14 and it is awful when it happens while I am at school, but there's nothing I can do about it. It makes me feel self conconcious and I try to not let anybody notice, and my mum seems to think that it's an intolerance or an allergy to something - so I have stopped eating wheat and I have started having these milk-drop things that are supposed to work but I see no difference. I don't know what to do.

Try cardio such as running but not as many crunches and ab workouts that makes your stomach tight so you cant suck it in

I've been super skinny all my life and I hardly eat anything at all, but I've never had a bloated stomach until yesterday. I haven't changed my diet at all so I don't know where that suddenly came from...

I was the same and a personal trainer told me to stop working on my stomach so much because it was sticking out since I was getting too muscular there and the only way to make it flat was lose some of the extra muscle to just be toned. He said to just hold in my stomach while I did my other workouts and that it would start to get flat again and it really did. So there really is such a thing as being too fit.
