Same!!!! I am not fat and considered skinny but when I look down I can't see over my belly! When I flex my abs, they look great, but then when I'm relaxed it is all tight, hard and pops out. I did some research and I believe it has something to do with posture.....

Hey if you are always bloated it could be SIBO( small intestine bacterial overgrowth)

Maybe, but I find that if I am sodium deficient is when my belly gets really huge. Believe it or not, being sodium deficient can cause water retention. I believe it is called potomania, usually something that happens to beer drinkers who take in a lot of fluids without sufficient sodium. Also, if you do not eat 2700 mg sodium minimum in a day, your body has a response that involves the adrenal glands, antidiuretic hormone, etc. that can throw your fluid balance out of whack. When my belly is huge, it takes about three days of at least 3000 mg sodium with little to no potassium, for my stomach to deflate. And when it does, it is super flat and I have quite the figure. If I sweat a lot, and drink lots of water, which I do out of habit, and neglect to take in the sodium, I wind up with literally a nine month pregnant belly. Nine months for me, because I have three kids, and it's the size my belly was at the nine month mark. Please research sodium deficiency, bloating, hyponatremia etc for yourself and if you drink plenty of water, with a very healthy, low sodium diet, this may be the problem. It is for me.

I am much like you, but when I don't eat my stomach seems to be bloated. It's always the same size. Making me look 5 months prego. I sucks, my doctor has told me I have IBS. Which is a relief, because I've been want to know for a while. But there should still be a way to cute my bloating. You must have IBS. Do u have severe gas and cramps?? U may just have a eased form of IBS. Serve IBS is gas and cramping

I just googled something similar. Please forgive me if this is mentioned somewhere else but there are a ton of replies and I don't have time to read them all. I just read this link and it calmed a lot of my fears and gave me some practical stuff to work on . I remember doing similar exercises shown here, plus some ankle strengthening moves every other day for a week and noticed a huge difference so I am going to start doing that again. Here is the link. I hope this helps. Don't lose hope!

Just to irritate the person who mentioned every message was from a teenager, I am a 57 year old woman with permanent bloated abdomen. I've always been the same weight, (5'7 and 105lbs) since I was 14. Was a competitive runner, now do C.V. exercise on a machine, every day for two hours.
My stomach is always distended, and has been for many years. The flesh is tight, not flabby. As previously mentioned by other writers, I look six months pregnant at sixty! I am a very controlled type one diabetic of fifty years, and see a gastroenterologist, but he is of little help with this. My diet is not to blame, this diagnosis being the easy option for many doctors.
There appear to be many of us with this problem, so it is disturbing to be unable to find some way of dealing with it. I am grateful to know I am not alone, but completely bored of "covering" my gut.

I have a belly button hernia and i also have a spot right under my chest that pops out they told me if it happens and i cant massage it back and it gets stuck there i need to go to hospital right away to have surgery to correct it. I stopped working out my belly cuz the more i worked out i could feel it and would have to stop my workout plus i was afraid of having surgery. That was 2 yrs ago. and i just started working out again and im gonna start doing abs and just do the best i can. They told me both things could be from pushing my 4 kids out during labor. They dont wanna do anything yet cuz nothing showed up in the ultra sound they took and they asked me if i can make it pop out and i said no it just happens at random. I want my belly tone and muscular.

Sounds like you need new friends. You sound beautiful to me.
I am a man and have the same issue. I just accept it as normal. Most likely hormonal maybe higher levels of Estrogen that cause stomach bloat or a Gluten sensitivity.
