very thin person, but bloated stomach

Glad to hear I am NOT the only one with this problem. I am 5 foot 4 122 pounds. (60 yrs old)And thin. But my stomach looks like it is 5 months pregnant. The results came back from my ultrasound and everything is fine. I was kind of hoping there would be something wrong so my problem could be fixed. So at this point I am very depressed. Clothes do not fit me anymore. Don't know if I should go to a gastronologist. Or finding a trainer to help me work on the stomach......

Your problem might be that you have visceral fat around your organs, it's the hardest fat to get rid of and it can cause very many health issues for you. If you are serious about getting rid of it, really clean up your diet and exercise.

Hi. I was searching for stuff about anorexia and stomach problems. I saw your reply to someone who posted in a forum I guess is what this is. Anyway I'm glad I came across your comment. I have been under the ED spell for years and Trying to fix it myself, with the help of my husband. I am exactly like this. No matter how hard I try I can't get it o stay flat, apart from if I a) don't eat, just drink loads, or b)eat extra on one day and just sh*t it all out.

Diastis recti could be a possibility... Look it up. I've struggled with that and protruding bellys are the #1 symptom. It can be fixed through special exercises. :) good luck

1'm 74, 5'5" and weigh 100-103 lbs. I sometimes take pain meds for spinal stenosis, however then my bloating is horrible and bowels freeze. I am diabetic but try to control that with a pill. My friend 76 has complained about her large tummy too. What causes this?

Hi. I'm 6'1" 180lbs homosexual male. I got kinda fat (230lbs) then lost it by extreme dieting, cigarettes, and uppers. I now have a protruding stomach. I'm thin and been eating healthy and exercising. Before I got fat i never had a bulging stomach but after losing weight it seems to be the only part of my body that sticks out. It looks like I'm pregnant. Any idea how to get rid of this bulging ugly stomach? just keep losing weight? I have abs and muscle definition but it just looks like there is a beach ball under the abs pushing them out. Please Halp :(

Try some pre and probiotics as well as some enzymes with meals. Seems like a digestive problem.

My stomach sticks out in the mornings only and then it is fine during the day it is little hard but not bad and I know I am not pregnant it been like this for nine months now I had different test done and cat scan it is very crazy but people say it could be my bowel movements and I am very skinny and you can feel everything in my stomach and it makes sounds too

I want to reply to your comment. But I can't tell when any of these were submitted! So am I replying to an old forum??
Anyways I am also think, most all muscle as I work out daily, but now after age 50 my stomach is like a mac truck! Ha, seriously though! And I've noticed that no one in this forum talks about shortness of breath, like shallow breathing with the distended stomach! It is terrible! My husband is a chiropractor, has adjusted/moved the hiatal hernia that I never knew I had! But I still have little appetite, some reflux, and serious bloat!! Help!

I do the enzymes, probiotics, seemingly everything! Nothing helps the bloated stomach!!
My appetite is so reduced, I'm afraid I'm not absorbing nutrients now! ugh!! I pray there is hope!!
