Today, I noticed that my veins were very visible in my arms, chest, and breasts. They are very dark blue. I am fair skinned, so some veins showing through is normal, but this is NOT normal. It looked like someone had drawn on me with a marker. What is this? I also have Human Parvovirus B19.....could it be related to that?
Did you ever find out what caused the appearance of your dark blue veins. I've had the same thing happen twice in the past couple of weeks. I even used the same description: They look like they've been drawn on with a marker! I think people think I'm nuts when I tell them about it.
Hello I'm a healthy young man.
I've had shortness of breath for over 3 weeks now and I've also noticed very visible blue veins on my palms, my arms (biceps) and across the pectorals.
does this mean we have too much CO2 in our bodies?
I don't have cyanosis just dyspnea at rest
I had a hyperventilation attack yesterday without any emotional causes (panic).
I remember I was yawning a lot (excessive and incomplete yawns)
I was told that I was breathing abnormally fast even though I had the impression I was breathing at a normal rate.

If your a girl chances are you are pregnant, the veins in your breast mean your blood flow has increased and you are producing milk the same happened to my girlfriend when she was pregnant

Yesterday I was getting in the shower and noticed ny veins were dark and went from top of my chest straight down and around my nipples and my breasts really have been hurting but I also had a negative pregnancy test and just finished a very light period So Im sorta in the same boat ! And really confused...I have every pregnancy syptom but a positve pregnancy test.But im just writing to let you know this is happening to me to and I googled lookin for an answer and it brought me to this sight. %-)
I too have prominant blue veins all over me. I noticed them over a week ago. I'm 13 days late for my AF. Pregnancy tests (urine and blood serum) came back neg. Doctor did an ultrasound and did not find an embryo, but uterus is swollen with very thick lining. He saw two small spots that were too small to be cysts, but he wasn't sure what they were. Said I either had a chemical imbalance causing pg symptoms, or it's too early in pregnancy to pick things up. Blood panel came back clean, no chemical imbalance. If I haven't gotten AF by Monday (2/8), I have to call and they want to do a beta hcg blood test. It is very possible to have symptoms, miss your AF and be pg, yet test neg on hpts. Especially if you ovulate late in your cycle. Test again when you are 2 weeks late. By then, you should have enough hcg in your system to get a BFP. However, also keep in mind that not all women get BFP's on hpts. Some need a beta to pick up hcg levels. See your doctor if you still haven't had a cycle. Good luck!
might be a low saturation level. in essence the capacity of the blood to hold oxygen. especially for women after a period (since the loose quite a bit), naturally blood recovers the fluid portion more easily and quickly than the red blood cells. could be wrong but thats what im guessing.
I have always had dark veins in my breast, chest and arms. My mother tells me it's called varicose veins. Sometimes you don't notice it early on, but later in life the veins get darker. Keep a watch and see if they come n go. sometimes mine are dark like some one drew on me with a marker & sometimes there not!!

I have a blue vein that runs across my chest and down to my left areola area. This appeared when i was pregnant with my daughter. I doctor told me it's nothing to worry about it's a "milk vein" some women get them with pregnancy. I insisted I was not pregnant, I had taken several home tests and they were all negative, but he insisted on my having a blood test......FOUR MONTHS into my pregnancy..... I FOUND OUT I WAS IN FACT PREGNANT! Just didn't have enough hormone level to some on a regular home test. The vein never went away, but it's a great reminder of my daughter!
4 days ago i went to my very first yoga class.. day after, i had muscle pains all over my body and three days after, i saw green and some violet veins visible in my chest,and arms.. are they going to be permanent? or do these things go away after a few days.

That sounds like a heart-problem, my husband has the same symptoms, I think, and he is getting an angio gram test done soon. He is normally very fit, so it seems serious, because very little exercise makes him tired. He is blue/red on most of his body with cold hands and feet.

This past week I had an episode coming out of a patients house, (I work for hospice), And I all of the sudden got very faint and had a stabbing chest pain on the left side of my chest and left arm felt really wierd. It felt kinda like circulation was cut off. Went to walk-in clinc next day cuz my Dr was not in and he said inflamation in chest wall and some sort of neuropathy in left arm. They only done ekg and thats all. Made and appointment for my Dr when she got back and she thinks maybe I have strained the pectoral muscle and it can hurt in your arm as well, but if not better in a few days with steroids and rest, then go to get scan to make sure it's not blood clot. I have noticed that I have this really dark vein that I have never noticed until this happened. (And no i'm for sure not pregnant.) It comes from left arm and goes down to my left breast and nipple. And it is really sore and tender. If it's still hurting bad on Monday then I'm calling to get set up for that scan to see about blood clot. Better safe than sorry.
I canot possibly be pregant because I have been abstainent for over one year, so what other cause of these sudden dark distugusting veins is there? It really looks as thous someone is tattoin gmy entire body with them and Im getting sharp stabbing pains everywhere.Also the feeling like pepper is cousing through my veins. This started two weeks ago out of the blue and all these doctors are so dumb they ghave no idea what it is. This is the forth time this has happened over the past few years and each time its worse. Im really upset and puzzled, any thoughts would be appreciated.
