I am anxious to reply to everyone who is having problems with weight gain as I am also in that boat and I truly believe after much research on the subject that your good is not being broken down and digested and disgartdrd.. The bile that was stored in the gallbladder is right times more potent than now without one... Bile slowly trickles into intestines which is just basically storing it as fat... I am trying digestive enzymes to see if they help with weight gain you may want to try a good Probiotic one for fat storage, I hVe the name of it but can't find it yet.

I have had the same problem with constant hunger, and made the assumption it was due to the
bile dripping from the liver with no reservoir to contain it. The bile thus is stimulating
the appetite at all times, rather than just being released in response to food passing into the small intensine. I asked my GI doctor about this and he said yes, that is absolutely what is happening. I have tried to eat more foods that absorb the bile such as apples, oatmeal (even as a snack). Other foods that do this can be found by looking on the internet. It helps to keep something small in your stomach most of the time, rather than going for longer periods without eating

I had mine out about 3 weeks ago. Within 16 hrs., I was in the ER due to being severely dehydrated. At first, I was a little worried because I had no appetite for days on end. Now. I'm hungry most of the time. My dr. told me to take or eat a lot of fiber. It's really bothering me that I might be looking at being overweight. All of the women, in my family, on my mother's side, were.
I'm trying a fiber supplement to see if that brings me appetite within normal range.

I don’t think it has anything to do with major surgery or laser. I had my gallbladder removed 3 months ago by laser and I feel hungry all the time. I started noticing that a week or so after the surgery. I have gained almost 20lbs because of that. I’m trying to go back to eating the way I was before the surgery, but that is much harder because now I can eat things I couldn’t before and I know o won’t get sick. I’m thinking about limiting my portions to see if that will help me at least to stop gaining weight. That would be helpful. I had no idea that I would have a hunger issue after the surgery. I don’t seem to ever get full. It is a weird sensation…
