why would i gain more weight after stopping HRT. Question Hormones
While you were on hormone replacement therapy, your body adjusted itself to function with all the additional hormones. Once you stop taking these additional hormones, it takes time for your body, first to recover, then to start its own production of the hormones it needs. So you basically are going through some sort of HRT withdrawal. That is why is possible that your body while its adjusting itself to life without hormones starts to overproduce some of them which then cause the weight gain.
Will the weight drop after adjusting I also have gained 6 lbs after stopping hrt
I’m 58 & was taking non-synthetic hrt pellets for 6 months. I gained 30 lbs. when should I expect to revert to my previous weight of 120 lbs. My diet & exercise routine has not deviated. Thanks for taking the time to get back to me. Sincerely, Sharon
I gained 9 pounds when I stopped so I am waiting for the answer as well. No matter what I do I can not lose the 9 pounds and I have always been a very healthy and fit person. Still feel healthy just not happy with the weight and how it looks and feels.
I am in the having the same problem since i have come off HRT.

Hi,
Weight gain can be a common side effect of coming off hormone replacement therapy (HRT). However, there are several steps you can take to help lose weight:
Maintain a balanced diet: Focus on eating a well-balanced diet that includes plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy fats. Avoid processed and high-fat foods.
Incorporate regular exercise: Exercise can help you burn calories and improve your overall health. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week. This can include activities like walking, jogging, swimming, or cycling.
Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water can help keep you feeling full and reduce your appetite.
Get enough sleep: Lack of sleep can affect your hormones and increase your appetite. Aim for at least 7-8 hours of sleep per night.
Consider medication or therapy: If you are struggling to lose weight, your healthcare provider may recommend medication or therapy to help manage your weight.
Have you started any weight-loss regime?
