Hi, I'm 37 yr. old female, not pregnant and no chance.
I'm having this same weird fluttering on left side right under rib cage. It's only been happening a few days and driving me nuts. I know it's not gas or bloating or cramping. It does feel like that weird tingle that starts right before major contractions... no pain at all.
I'm wanting to get a ultrasound and wondered if anyone has any results from one?

I am 44 years old and have been having this same fluttering on upper left side of stomach (where the spleen is located). For the past 8 weeks I have been suffering from indigestion symptoms. The fluttering doesn't hurt, but just twitches all throughout the day. Especially after I eat it really goes bananas. I am concerned something could be up with my spleen. Friends with medical training said it would hurt (bad) if my spleen was on the verge of bursting. Have to wait 6 wks for a doctor appt and hope she will know. Based on all these postings with the same symptom, I am thinking a gastroenteroligist will know immediately what it is.

Wow, I am 20 years old, never been pregnant (since a lot of you seem to have children) and I am having it too. This is my 3rd "episode" Right under my left rib. If I sit there and watch, I can see it. It freaks me out because I have heart problems. Then I start wondering if something is going to burst. I noticed I get it a lot when I am stressed. Nothing I do takes it away and it will stick around for a few days. It's really starting to scare me and I don't have proper health insurance :-(

8-| Ok so maybe my flutter is a bit different. I am a 52 (!) yr old male and the flutter i get is the same a a baby kicking, or so my wife tells me.
She can feel it and lots easier than waiting for the baby kicks. but i do know when i get these flutters, it is during arousal and only then, so now, am i in trouble???
I rely on my wife telling me ( nagging me ) to go to the doctors but she has not so either she thinks it is not anything to worry about and she used to be a nurse, or she needs a change of partner...lol
Love to know if there is anyone else in my boat..for the curious, no, it does not affect any ongoing activities at the time of fluttering and it is in a region 4 inches below my belly-button.Thank you

I am having the same sensation. I first noticed it about 4 months ago, but only felt it once then about a month ago i started feeling it every so often, but today i've felt it about 10-12 times in the left upper section of my stomach and yes it feels like a light movement from a baby, but i am not pregnant. I did get so concerned that i bought perisite med. I was really worried it might be a solitar i think thats what there called in other words kinda like a worm yet like a snake living in my intestines, so i took the med. a week ago and stil feel the sensation but more then before. my mom says to get it checked out so i'm going for an ultra sound. I will keep you posted if I find anything out. oh ya I am 34 years old.

The fluttering many of you have mentioned is being experienced on my end. From time to time, I have muscle twitching or fluttering in my abdomen. Lately, I've experienced a huge thump in my center upper abs just below my chest. In addition, I have a light-headed sensation. The weird thing is I have no pain with the throb. A doctors appointment is scheduled on my end tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll have more to share.
My age is 43 and I am a male.

Thank goodness I am not the only one having these episodes! Mine started two days ago with no pain at all, but it does feel like a baby is kicking me in my upper left abdomen/ribcage. My husband felt it and it's freaking him out because I've had three children and our baby days are over especially since he has had a vasectomy. This feeling is driving me nuts! The only thing I've done different lately is paint my house which required a lot of stretching to paint the upper walls, so at first I thought I pulled a muscle. Anyone have any answers? %-)

I, too am having a strange fluttering feeling spasm in the upper left abdomen, right under my ribcage. It has been going on for at least 2 weeks. It's driving me nuts. It just happens periodically, and especially if I sneeze. Odd....please post if you find out anything about it!!

I'm only 14 years old, female, and having the same problem... I know for a fact I'm not pregnant, but this is getting annoying... It starts happening when I think about a certain thing, but I don't know. It's really weird and I need an answer...

ok I'm 26 I had a baby last year and this really feels like baby kicking but more off to my left side for sure.. The thing is that I've been really sick since december. Headaches neck/shoulder/arm/ finger pain. Very poor concentration, dizziness, Severe fatigue, high white count blood count low red blood count, plus I've been having increased fluttering in my chest which I already had for a while its just a bit more intense anyway....On advise of my doctor I went to a rheumatologist today who told me I may have EDS (ehlors danlos syndrome) since my joints are really flexible and some of my symptoms match up and I didnt mention the weird throbbing because I already had enough symptoms to mention and felt it was crazy but I came back and researched EDS and found out that it causes abdominal aortic aneurysms which do cause those symptoms painless and with pain. Now that I saw this I'm a tad worried.. I'm going to have them check it for me now that I have read about it.. Its really not crazy to talk to your doctor about it and besides they usually hear it all anyway. Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms can be deadly so if you are having this symptom especially added with pains from time to time your best bet is to get it checked out. I'm still on the search for whats wrong with me but if I find anything else out I'll be sure to post..I'm not even sure what this is exactly but I'm just giving all you out there a heads up!

Wow I am experiencing this, too! Bizarre!
I thought I was pregnant and took a test and I am not, just cause I thought there was a baby kicking me high up by my upper ribs.
I am a 23 year old female. Not overweight. I think it might be related to stress?
What is it???

I started this a few years ago and thought I was pregnant. My cholesterol was high so they checked for stones throu ultra sound and everything was fine. Basicly I think it is just your liver quivering. Get your cholesterol checked! Watch what you eat and when it quivers more than likely your cholesterol is getting high. This is just me though and is what I found works for me.

I know exacty what this feels like. this is a typical symtom anxiety disorder or panic attacks. Worrying about the pain or having fears that it is something serious will just lead to more of the feeling. Often times anxiety sympots are centered around the chest and may also include pain or other sensations that seem to move. Check with your doctor and lay off the cafeine
