That would be a hydra. Mostly harmless, but looks like a predator and lives and floats around in your eye fluid. Have you been swimming in a lake or pond recently?? Look here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydra_(genus)
Have you ever had bad headaches with these could be migraines, but I know for me I have MS it indicates a attack. Vision changes can be very serious conditions specially if it don't seem to move when blinking or changing the color of what you see that's not a floater.
When you het a floatee...roll both eyes as far up as you can..close your eyes and move eyes back n fortj a few times. This usually clears out the scratch n you can see again
That is most definitely a migraine aura you are seeing and you are experiencing only mild pain from it.
I have a flashing light next to my left eye that spins around all the time. No one can tell me what it is.
I was under stress and handn't eaten for days. My girlfriend had died and I was driving back home. When I got on the free a couple hours from her house I saw a black circular sphere right in front of me and looking to the left I saw purple and pink swirls. When I got home my son asked that I go to the doctors for everyone's safety. I went to the emergency room and they pulled my drivers license. It's been 5 months and they won't give it back, saying I must have been on drugs. This is not true. I'm 61. My pain physician has written them twice to say I have more perocet then normal and he is proud of me. Now I am having a heart work-up. Any idea what this may be - I need to drive again!
This Joanmarie again. I wanted to share that I am bi-polar and on Lithum and marplan. These distortions (hallunications) has never happened before or since. I know I was very stressed as we did not know the cause of my girlfriends death. the week before we spread my mother and sister's ashes. There was no headache associated with this. I just suffer from depression and all the deaths make me stressed.
Yes! I describe it as an eye shape that has little multi-colored flashing electrical lines like chicken scratch around it. It grows bigger over time. I Had the worst episode ever yesterday at the mall with my son. It started as the eye shape then became a diamond then became huge. My son was freaked because he said my pupils were pin points although it wasn't very bright. So we compared pupils in the mirror and mine were time his were much larger. It looked weird! And just continued to get worse until I could barely see. When the eyeshaped, blurry whatever it's called, began to subside there was terrible swirling in my left periphery. I really thought I was having a stroke. I couldn't see. And I was terribly nauseated..I started crying because I thought I was going to pass out with my son there. A couple years ago, I was diagnosed with a vitamin D deficiency and this was one of my symptoms, although not nearly as severe. Finally, it cleared enough I could make it home. When I got home I took my blood pressure it was on the low side and my heart alarm sounded twice, I had a migrain and the nausea continued. The migrain eventually went away after some Ibuprofen and 50,000 iu of vitamin D. Today, I still feel nauseous and weak. I took some more vitamins and am hoping I recover fully soon. If not...I am headed to the doctor. You should probably schedule some blood work. Good luck.
I am going through this right now that is how I found your comment. What to do?
I am having the samt thing right now. I just had blood work done 2 days ago and all was good.
Occular migraine probably
That sounds like an ocular migraine
I could be a visual ocular migraine. Kaleidescope vision is what it could be. I'm having that happen right now as I type. Fun. Fingers crossed it's not a stroke.
OMG, I just had the exact same and I was ready to burst into tears as I did not know what was happening. Even asked my Boss for paracetamol. I have never had this before in my life and I am petrified. Logged straight on to google and read through these reviews and your reaction was exactly the same to mine. I was thinking, if the lines/lights get bigger they will go out of my vision....and they did.
