Hello. I'm 15 year old female and of course- I'm still not sexually active. Never mind that- I would like to find out more about one aspect of sexual health so when time comes-I would be ready!
I'm interested more about the slang “losing virginity” and I wish if someone could explain it to me.
You see, I know that it involves first sexual experience but I don’t know, let’s say- is oral sex considered enough to say- I lost my virginity! I'm too embarrassed to ask anyone in school about this because they would think I'm stupid or something. Please help to light up this term!
Hi. I believe I know what does that term really means and I don’t mind telling you more about it. You see, when we say “losing virginity” we only think on vaginal sex or intercourse when penis is inserted into vagina. Oral sex is not considered to be enough to say- I lost my virginity.
During the first sexual intercourse, small part of tissue found in the entrance of vagina called hymen is being damaged by penile penetration and often –small amount of blood comes out. That’s why it hurt a bit more then the next experience. So, doctor can easily say if someone has or has lost her virginity. I've also heard that now- there are even special operations of restoring hymen and virginity! Crazy!
Hey guys. Listen girl, that is really nothing you should be afraid of, or terrified in any way. It represents completely normal action between two people, and there is nothing wrong with it. But, losing virginity is a one time thing, so you should be careful whom you are giving it away. So, it's not the physical part that hurts, but mental, if you regret it later, then you will be hurt. I strongly advise you to take as much time as you need to see if you are ready for such a move because it really isn't something you should give away easily.
Some people even believe that touching the other's genitals or breasts, and giving them a "ha****b", or "fingering" them will also cause the person to lose their virginity.
It is sad to say that our parents, religious leaders, school teachers, and our peers don’t know anything about sex or even much about breaking the hymen or anything else. Do you know that the hymen is always present every time you have sex that includes the first time or the hundredth time? Breaking your cherry or the first time being special “as far as your body is concern” there is no difference”. Let me recap, I know I pissed off every women in the world; I did not say that emotions where not effected, I said that there is no difference when it comes to your body. This statement that the hymen is “damaged by penile penetration and often –small amount of blood comes out” is very unlikely. Know your body before having sex the only time you should see blood if it is around your period or you are a small child!!!!!!!!!!!
We all spend our time pushing our beliefs on others which were brought about by others that we believe to know the truth. Let me give you two nuggets before I leave you. The statement “When I had sex for the first time I had no discomfort, no pain bleeding, cramping or anything” is a normal reaction anything else you need to worry about there is a problem. Do you know that even after you had a virginal birth delivery the hymen is still present? The hymen is a tissue that covers and protects the place of insertion and after you have had your fun it goes back to performing its job of protecting that area.
Talk to your doctor or license nurse they must protect your wishes as well as what you talked about and provide you with the truth in all situations.
