What damage could occur from using Dichloroacetate (DCA) as anticancer treatment?

DCA is available through mail order and doesn't require a prescription. I have taken it for about 2-3 months, and am getting strong symptoms of neuropathy. Because of this, I'm probably going to stop. I was experimenting with another condition which I thought it would address. It helped considerably, but the down-side is beginning  to off-set the benefits. I am concerned about permanent damage, but I'll withhold judgment. Certainly, anyone with cancer should consider it.

Can I have a link please to your source regarding your claim of cancer in mice from dca in water, also is there a difference in effects from wild mice and lab mice? Could you also explain to me the difference between taking dca for cancer and for metabolic disorders ie/ why no concern has been shown for the latter yet so much is for the former.

All I need to know about dca certainly is not that it has not been tested on humans. It is certainly how many people with metabolic disorders who took dca suffered irreversible effects. Also if dca has been given for the metobolic problems but not tested in lab on cancer then is that not simply a technicality in terms of safety regardless of protocol?

As I remember chemotheropy has very server side effects and also the radeoactive'seeds' that stop a friends father from being buried or burned for 2 years after the treatment or being able to be close to children for a set time. But please do answer my first question because I do not believe you are sincere.

I have been taking DCA for 2 years. I have Desmoid tumors. They are locally invasive and very nasty. Typical treatments recommended were wide resection of affected tissues, chemo and radiation. But I chose DCA. I started with 58 tumors all over my torso and back, under the skin. Several had grown through my sternum and into my ribs on the left side. Burping was becoming impossible, which is very uncomfortable. I was having to limit my food intake at a single sitting, and I have never been a big eater anyway. But I decided to try a lower dose than what is usually recommended. I take 35 mg every other day, mixed in water. I can feel the action in my tumors, tingling burning , pain sometimes. If I take more the pain is worse. My tumors have dissolved and dissipated to 20% of their size when I started. I have had slow, steady progress, with no side effects, other than sometimes I need to sleep more since I am healing. But they are getting smaller. It is a miracle. DCA is very inexpensive. If you have tumors, benign or malignant, DCA fixes the mitochondria in the cells and they die via apoptosis (self regulated cell death). I am living proof. My father have Pancoast tumor. I am very interested in using DCA for his treatment. If someone have used DCA for Pancoast tumor treatment or other lung tumor, i would to know for it side effect and advantages. And I don't know how to buy this product.

Hello Rizm, I performed a search on where to find and beleive it or not it showed that 20mg powder of DCA "pet cancer treatment" could be found through amazon -health. It shows it to be pure DCA. I Hope and pray for your mom. please update if you get your hands on any. MC

my mom's been on dca for 3months...she is experiencing tingling in fingers/toes aka neuropathy so she is stopping for 2 weeks. she's not on chemo pill at this time. dca did make her fatigued, weak legs/muscle/ loss of balance. we want to see if this will stop now that she is pausing the DCA for 2 weeks. please keep me updated on your progress and side effect of dca. much appreciated. where are you all located?

how is dca working for u lately? do you feel the neuropathy, fatigue, weak legs, loss of balance? my mom's been on it for 3 months for BAC a rare type of lung cancer.

they may have only tested it on animals only but it was human cancer injected into an animal. Instantly it began killing the cancer cells and letting the healthy cells alone. This irritates me because my mother is battling cancer right now and its starting to get the best of her. Its not being approved by the FDA because then people wont make money from chemo therapy and radiation. This world is all about money until it comes to them or their family. This world is going down hill more and more everyday!!!!!
