Hi. I often dream about sex. I don`t have a girlfriend and that could be the cause of my sexual dreams. I am all alone. What do sexual dreams mean?

Hi. I have a girlfriend and I always have sexual dreams. In my dreams there are always many women around and I choose only one. But when it comes to action, I wake up. It`s really annoying. I like having sex in my dreams. I am not sure about the meaning of sexual dreams. Maybe you should really go look out for a girlfriend. It is not good to be alone. Still, you have your dreams.

Sex in a Dream | What does it mean when I dream about sex?Psychological Meaning: Erotic dreams are usually a straightforward expression of sexual desire. The nature of the sex may reveal you hidden hopes and fears. For example, if you dream of having sex with someone other than your partner, this may highlight dissatisfaction with the physical side of your relationship. Your dreams may reveal patterns in your sexual relationships that you may not be aware of. If your sexual dreams are violent or perverse, you may need to be more relaxed about your sexuality. You may have sexual phobias or compulsions that need to be recognised and brought in control. Your dreams may offer ways to help you lead a happier and more natural sexual life. Mystical Meaning:An odd superstition claims that if a man or woman dream of visiting a brothel there will be an improvement to their domestic life. And good news for cross dressers: there will be success within the family if you dream of changing sex.

To dream of sex means Sexual dreams on the deepest level are symbolic of integration and are triggered by our desires. An attractive dream figure usually symbolizes something the dreamer finds tempting or appealing in real life. If there are sexual overtones, then the dream character may appear as seductive or beckoning. Should the dream end with sexual intercourse, it would signify completion (the dreamer’s desires are or will be fulfilled). If the dreamer is merely toying or flirting with an idea it may appear in the dream as sexual foreplay without intercourse, perhaps just kissing. The degree of passion—and passion is the key—exhibited in waking life toward a particular thought, idea or other attraction is accurately reflected in a dream and given a sexual theme even though it may have absolutely nothing to do with sex. Sexual intercourse is a symbol of union that brings the dreamer fulfillment, so in order to accurately interpret the dream, the dreamer must distance him or herself from the dream and ask what it is they passionately desire to have, to integrate, unite with or incorporate into their lives? Sometimes it is not a dream at all, but an actual out-of-body experience. If we think about it, there is a lot to be said for OBE sex since there is little if any guilt, no STDs and no messy entanglements. So how do we distinguish an actual encounter from a dream? Simple, an event is straightforward, sometimes ethereal, more like a memory of an actual occurrence. A dream on the other hand, is rich with symbolic content or “weirdness” as many choose to call it. The problem is we can also dream about the event, so if a sexual encounter takes place out-of-body, it is possible to have a symbolic dream about it. And if we don’t recall the event, we will never know if the dream is reflective of something we are integrating on an inner level or a replay of an actual experience. There are some who have recalled both the event and the subsequent dream, which serves not only to validate the fact that astral sex exists, but that we do dream about our OBEs. This—in and of itself—is significant because it provides a valid argument that out-of-body experiences do occur, the reason being we only dream about what we experience. We never dream about a dream! Jealousy is a common theme in sexual dreams. For example, if you dream of your spouse cheating on you the first question you should ask yourself is what are you cheating your spouse out of? A different example of cheating takes place when the dreamer dreams of making love to another person when in fact; they are dreaming of making love to the person they originally married who in the dream is portrayed as a different person. It is distinguishing how things have changed within the relationship between then and now. Dreams of sexual encounters with ex-partners when in another relationship are also commonplace and while they can sometimes signify displacement—where one person actually symbolizes the other—more often it is an association made not so much by behavioral similarities, but by circumstances such as a development within the present relationship similar to the one past that resulted in either a pleasant or unpleasant experience.
