what does a miscarriage look like

I actually have my period the first month of pregnancy, spot the second and third months. This helped me in fact, when I was with an abuser. He quit abusing me thinking the baby was his. But was from another relationship I got into while trying to get away from the abuse. Unable to stay in that relationship and having to come home to the bad one.. I was still able to convince him the baby's his because of the bleeding... Though imagine his surprise when my preemie baby had no health issues.

Some women simply bleed while they're pregnant. I did with my child and every single miscarriage I've had. If your cervix won't close right you'll bleed some too.

ANY time you bleed while pregnant see your OB/GYN.. and if you're like me, and got a really bad guy... don't do what I did and stay around for him to endanger you and your baby. There's plenty of help out there.

I got lucky, when I got out of the relationship my child's real father showed up and has been nothing but good to us for the last 3 years. Sometimes it just doesn't work out that way.. whatever life brings, good luck!

Can't help but laugh a little. I know when I'm pregnant very fast. Within two or three days I'm throwing up, even before the egg has had time to attach properly.

The doctor laughed a little over this and said I just get sick at the thought of being pregnant. But it isn't true. I love my babies, they just make me so sick. Literally as soon as that egg implants I'm done. Anywhere from 24 hours to 48 hours and I'm already throwing up. 72 hours is the absolute outside for me. On a quantitative test I show around 30, by day 4. (Not normal, at three to six weeks most people are between 0 and 50.) I get there in a matter of days.

By the 2nd week my hormones are way higher than they should be because I over-produce hormones. Everyone's body is different, mine's a mom on a mission...

Is your mom somehow related to me? I went to the doc because I had nagging nausea that comes and goes for several months. It wasn't bad enough I was throwing.. I just didn't feel good. I had NO ideal I was pregnant!!!! I've had my period more regular the last 3 months than I've had in like years, since before my oldest child even.

After several hours of the doctors poking at me for blood tests, they came in to do an ultrasound of my stomach to see if I had a tumor or something pressing on it. There is this kind cancer in my family.

Imagine the doctor's faces?! my test had come back with a total negative and here staring at us is a tiny lil baby that seems like 12-14 weeks development.

Could have knocked his daddy and me with a feather. We just found out he's a boy, at 20 weeks and are so excited.

I have an intersting situation....i was trying for a baby for 15 months and decided to give my self a break from trying to concieve. i didnt have intercourse for 3 months and on 24 dec xmas eve after few glasses of wine my husband and i made love.....after a week i felt different i felt pregnant so on the 2nd jan i did a test and it was positive...therefore i had a positive test at only 9 days!!!! i thought this canot be possible....i then had a small bleed and went to the early prgnancy unit which then confimed my prgnany with an ultrasound scan.....at this time i was 5 weeks....however they couldnt tell if the pregnancy was viable at this early stage....i contunued to bleed for 4 days and lost a small clot....i assumed miscarriage had occured at this point. after a few weeks i decided to go back to work and after a month i felt sick all day thought i had picked up a bug.....went to the drs and they sent me to hospital with severe dehydration due to vomiting......i was then asked if i was pregnant i said i was but miscarried a month ago...they did another test and i was still pregnant....i had a scan and i had a baby growing inside of me!.....at this point i was 9 weeks....so..in my opinion i do believe it is possible to get a positive test as early as i week and i have done some research which has indicated to me that lots of pregnancies cam be twins and one of those feotus abort leaving one behind to develope normally....my litlle girl is now three and well....so ladies not all medical facts are true i am living fact of this phenomenon....NOT ALL MEDICINE IS CORRECT THEY ONLY HAVE CERTAIN FACTS ALL HUMANS ARE SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CHANGES AND WE EVOLVE AS A RACE THRU LIFE!!!!!

my husband and i hadnt been trying for almost 3 months. my last period was jan 4-7. we had sex. jan 23, 24, 25. what i assumed was my period, started jan 31st, 6 days earlier than when it should have been. it was worse than normal. extremely heavy bleeding, nausea, vomitting, passing clots, and felt as though someone had kicked me in the back with heels on. i assumed it was a heavy period until today. i passed a larger more solid clot that i could feel coming out that seemed to have veins a few inches long attachted to it... could this be a miscarriage??

WOW you people are VERY uneducated with pregnancy...if you actually look into and READ (considering most of you are illiterate it looks like) than you would actually understand what she is saying. ALL pregnancies start at 4 weeks no matter what "tests" you may claim to have taken! did it actually say on the test "you are 2 weeks pregnant"...no it did no so ask your drs and they will give the answers that you OBVIOUSLY need! been dealing with pregnancy for 16 years now...so yes i know what i am talking about

I got a positive test two weeks after having sex. I got pregnant 14 days after the start of my period and took a test around the time I was suppose to start. If you aren't counting in lunar weeks/months then it would be 2 weeks or if you do it like the doctor it would be 4 weeks depending how accurate you want to be.

Yes, I'm the same... I've been pregnant three times - and everytime I have known very quickly that I was pregnant - from the changes in my body, feelings and also just an instinctive feeling I get telling me that I'm pregnant. This happens to me just a day or two after conception so it's just not true what people say - that it's impossible to know that you are pregnant before it shows on a pregnancy test!!

Yeah i had a period last week n got taken into hospital two days ago finkin i had appendacitis but im pregnant with threatened miscarriage!! So those that say u dont kno ur pregnant at two weeks but docs go on last period cant b right coz im only 1 n a half weeks pregnant if thats the case.. Just sayin

Hi...i had my period on the 8th of this month for 5 days n again this sunday the 21st n im still bleeding... i startd spotting then it was a dark redish brown color dn the nex day it got heavy like a normal period. I did have unprotected sex on the 7th n 16th of this mo.. Do u think i miscarryed or if im still pregnant? Idk. Ahould i wait to take a test or will anythin show up nw while bleeding. Thx n advance

Wrong, you can get a positive before 4 weeks, I did, know your facts before trying to make people feel stupid.

I was just in the er from 12:45am to 8am. I am 32days late on my period and the last sign of any blood or spotting was last month I thought I had started my monthly and it was normal until 16hrs into what I thought was my period I started that on October 23rd 2012 I had spotting for 2weeks after. on a day when I had not spotted much me and my bf went and got a pregnancy test it had came back negative. after the 2weeks of spotting about 2 days of nothing we got another test and the results was invalid. during this whole time I have had vary sharp intensive pains in my lower belly even tightness so we took into consideration that I was pregnant. I didn't take any more test mainly because the women in my family normally has to have blood work to get an accurate result of pregnancy so I was going to scheldule an appointment for blood work. for the past month I have had that intense pain shortness of breath occurred the past couple of days. I had some brown string like tissue discharge which is very irregular for me that happened about 2weeks ago. this past Saturday I had a cloudy puffy ball like discharge. the pain intensed even more. I have lower back pains and pelvic pains as well. Monday November 26th I was at work and got extremely hot I thought just a fever because I have also been sick for the past month vomiting nausea headaches tiredness fever and aches throughout my body along with loosing my voice and having an extreme cough. well I got nausea so I went to the restroom threw up went to nurse she took my temp 99.9 gave me Tylenol sent me back to work not even 20minutes of me doing my job description I became weak got the shakes and a sharp intense not on chart pain on the left side of my lower belly along with lower back pain. my legs gave out on me and my lead at work caught me before I calasped the pain was so bad it hurt to move they got the nurse she wheeled me out called my bf from his department took my temp again and it had increased to 101.9 the pain mainly stayed on one side then it started sending through the middle and right side. my bf got me to the er they done my vitals and my heartrate was high temp still rising they took urine done another pregnancy test and other test in which came back negative on pregnancy, im wondering if I had a miscarriage because not only did I have all the symptons for it to occur but the dr thinks I have pid and has set me up to see a womans dr. it didn't cross my mind to ask if it could have been a miscarriage because I have never had any problems like this before. I am also on birthcontrol. plus my nipples are tender very sensitive. when I got on birthcontrol I got checked for all infections including aids and hiv stds that was 3months ago and all came back negative I just had a slight bacterial infection in which got treated. the er dr told me that pid pelvic inflammatory disease can be caused by std he mentioned nothing about a miscarriage and my bf isn't having no kind of any signs so when I told the dr I have already been check for those infections he didn't know what to think. not only that but if it was any of that then my bf would be showing some type of sign as well. so I guess what I am getting at is would it be possible that I did miscarry?
