It is basically when you get an erection. Your body is "sexually excited" and you usually get an erection because of it. Although you might get an erection becasue of all sorts of things, not all nessasarily related to sex.
Sexual arousal may be physical or mental in nature. Given the right stimulation, sexual arousal in humans will typically end in an orgasm, but may be pursued for its own sake, even in the absence of an orgasm.
Some signs that you are sexually aroused are and can be one or more of the following:
An Erection (usually the most prominent (main) and reliable sign of sexual arousal in males; however, adolescent (going through puberty) males experience frequent 'non-sexual' (can be for no aparant reason) erections stemming from their high level of testosterone (a hormone prenent at puberty).)
Retraction and tightening of the foreskin if present (i.e not circumsied), often exposing the glans (end) of the penis if not normally exposed (though this is not always the case)
Emission of pre-ejaculatory fluid (pre cum, a alkalione fluid present before ejaculation)
Swelling of the testes (testicles)
Ascension of the testes (pulling close to body)
Tensing and thickening of the scrotum (bag containing testicles)
