My sister who lives abroad is trying to get pregnant. But ever since we were kids, she had hormonal problems and now she has problems getting pregnant as she’s not ovulating regularly. She underwent some kind of fertility treatment but I am not sure what kind. She told me that now she has to deal with 2ww. She sent me a letter and left for a holiday, so I can’t reach her. Any ideas about the 2ww?
I reckon your sister found a very good way to deal with her 2ww. Going for a holiday instead of sitting home and waiting is a smart thing to do. After fertilization, it takes for about two weeks to realize if you are pregnant or not. You may fertilize the egg but it needs to implement into the uterine lining in order to get pregnant. This may take from 5 to 12 days (at least in ordinary pregnancy-I suppose it works the same in fertility treatment). For a woman who is trying to get pregnant, these may be two very long weeks, so going away from home is certainly a very good way to deal with the pressure.
