Hi, I am an 18 year old female. Last year i was diagnosed with hypoglycemia. Over the past year i have developed white spots or patches along my arms and on my face. Recently i have noticed that my lymph nodes are swollen and they are sore. I have trouble falling asleep as i frequently gasp or jump. I also have problems when it comes to feeling reseted. I will usually take several naps as well as get a full nights rest and still feel tired. Are these related? and what is it?
Hi bluhhhhh

Lots happening here, a little bit related.

The white spots/patches could be a fungal infection or could be vitiligo - you'll need a doctor's diagnosis to find out.

Swollen sore lymph nodes need a medical diagnosis as well.

The 'jumping' before falling asleep - do you mean that your limbs tend to 'twitch' suddenly when you're dropping off to sleep? If so, this could mean a shortage of dopamine in your brain - its a neurotransmitter that brings on feelings of satisfaction and reward.

"problems when it comes to feeling reseted" - did you mean 'rejected'?

And the feeling tired despite several naps - possibly the hypoglycemia, or could be connected with one of your other symptoms. Ask your doctor first. Have you been taught what to eat to combat hypoglycemia and the energy slumps that can go with it?

I feel like I've asked you for more information than I've helped you - but you do have quite a lot going on here. Based on what you've told us, I suggest you book an appointment for a medical check up before you do anything, and take your list of symptoms with you to the appointment (its easy to forget when you're on the spot).

Regards, Olwen :-)

Yes i do mean my limbs seem to twitch and i dont really know how to explain it, i just will jump out of sleep and feel sweaty. And no i mean problems when it comes to feeling rested* I feel like i eat fairly normal.
