What is that strange shaped object in my stool?

If you are taking EXTENTED meth formin then it is your pill that is not dissoleve.

Dear I had the same yallow spongy kidney shape in my 14 yrs old daughter After research I found out what is it If you are tsking any pills take one and soak it in a glass of water overnight You will find out it is the same that you found in the boo Wht yellow because of bile duct in the digestive system That means your tablets is not digested Inform your doctor since you are not making benefits of it

I have the thing what is going on ????

Has anyone found an answer to this. It's getting really annoying and I'm tired of seeing them. I'm almost ready to fish one out and take it to a doctor because I'm kind of worried.

So since I see a bunch of fellow met takers, something to share.  I've taken met for a few years now and had the wonderful diarrhea pretty much daily.  I believe some refer to it as a "metformin moment" when one minute you are fine and the next you can't find a bathroom fast enough!  Normally my first bout is right after waking up, and then it happens again mid to late morning after I eat something, and sometimes after lunch/early afternoon.  Anyway, I take my met at night before or after dinner, and the last three nights I happened to have eaten a whole bunch of peanuts late before I went to bed.  I swear, since I've been eating these peanuts my morning dump is as close to a normal c**p as I've taken in a while, far from the liquid hell it normally is, and 2 out of the 3 days I had no issues at all after eating or during the day, and the one other day I had to hit the bathroom but it was just once and wasn't the trip to hell it normally is.  Anyway I googled it and found nothing, so I figured I'd let people know, as maybe I discovered something.  Others who have this side effect and read this, try it and let me know if it helps...

Sounds like gallstones, worth having your doctor check

Steatorrhea is what your seeing and has nothing to do with pills. Its unmetabilised fat, you should see a Dr. to find out why it is happening.

Yes i also have confronted this issue several times i also took the sample to test but they dint comeup with anything. This has happened atleast 6-9 times now and i cant remember eating anything that could become yellowish and slimy small oval shaped or ball its soft and when broken has whitish stuff inside it .. i dont know what it is a doctor told me after looking at its picture that it was not something that came out of my stools and he thought i was making this up .. btw i am in India ..

I had the same thing !  Orangey looking kidney shaped thing and I did fish one out (sorry, gross) and it had the same thing inside as what is being described.  I too take Metformin XR.  I had gotten a stomach bug on a SUnday that led to diahreah and between Sunday night and Tuesday night found about 9-10 of them.  Once my stool got back to normal it stopped.

My question is, did you all go off the Metformin XR?  I used to take the regular Metformin and had no problems.

I started getting them when I started taking Metformin. I notice it more when I eat too many carbs or sweets.

I found it! It is the shell to the Extended Release Metformin.

I am currently prepping for a colonoscopy - I have pooped these odd shaped things a few time lately and wondered what the hell. I am On metmorfin - took two tonight as usual - thought I cleared my bowel when low and behold - this yellow thing pooped out - curiosity got the better of me - dissected - rad this post and believe it is my metmorfin. Hope this helps.
