I have something similar as well...but without too graphic..the objects look like orange sponge like things,
rounded on the ends sometimes acorn shaped almost..but they are orangey in color..I just started taking
metformin about a year ago and prior to taking this medication I had never seen anything remotely similar
to these objects...

Hi all!

I am taking Glumetza (metformin XR) myself and have seen the same thing.  I have checked the professional medical resource websites and THIS IS NORMAL.   What you are seeing is the casing and inactive ingredients as a function of the extended release.   It still till doing it's job. What needs to be absorbed is digested and taken in by the body while the inert is passed in stool.  So if you ARE taking Glumetza or Metformin XR  DON'T PANIC. it is normal...just gross lol

I asked my doctor what was going on.  He said that what you see in the toilet are the casings from the Metformin ER tabs.  He said didn't you read the info that came with the meds?  I said there are like 3 pages of stuff to read, and no I didn't read it.  He said that the Metformin is inside those big white tabs and over time the metformin is released leaving those"kidney looking beans" in the bowl.  He called them "wax like objects".  Good news!!!!!! I was happy the Tabs were not just passing thru me but are indeed working.

I have exactly the same thing but rather than pooping them out it happens when I vomit. They could be in my poop but haven't tried looking yet. They really are like white kidney beans in looks and texture, so much so that I've been racking my brains trying to think of what I've eaten that might contain something like that but I haven't. I would love to find out what it is.

This is really strange to know that one wakes up to find these kind of strange situations that medicine cannot easily explain. I am currently experiencing same and the doctors are doing all kinds of tests including CT Scan for us to eliminate all forms of parasites and ova. So far all results are negative and I am not giving up just yet. I have even gone miles ahead to do all other internal organ check ranging from liver to kidney to cholesterol to urine to stool culture et all. While reading all your posts, one thing occurred to me, can this be happening from a particular city because mine started when I was on vacation with my husband in the US this July 2013. Well, between the two of us, I am the only one having this issue but then can it be that our immunities are different. Well whatever this is, I truly hope we find an answer that is not an assumption.

I am so surprised to find so many people experiencing this poop thing!  Tonight was the first time I noticed this thing in my poop and I first thought it was a corn kernel, but, no, it was too big for that.  I have gone over everything I have eaten in the past couple of days, and nothing seems to make sense.  I had my gallbladder removed a couple of years ago.  I don't have diahrrea (right now).  I actually (sorry this is so gross) washed it off and examined it closely.  No idea what it is, but I got plenty freaked out.  I'm hoping someone will post some useful info. In the meantime... yikes!

I saw a translucent/clearish capsule in the bowl the first time the other evening. I know it was the casing from my originally yellowish fish oil capsule....but I've been taking these twice daily (1200mg x 2) for the last 4 years......

I get them too. I found 7 in one bowel movement. I am always constipated so I thought that it was somehow because of that. I don't know. Mine are beigh in color and look just like a pill. Like a capsule shaped hard pill. They look man made cuz they look like the y came out of a mold. They all are exactly the same. Many of them have broken and when I squeeze them they crumble like like sand. I have saved two of them and have photos. Just don't no how to add the photos to the comment.
