I was told that I was allergic to tranzene, in 1986, after a closed head injury. Could you please tell me what it is perscribed for?
Just curious,

Hi,
can you clarify if you mean Tranxene?
If this is the case it belongs to a class of drugs known as benzodiazepines. It is used to treat anxiety disorders and for short term relief of the symptoms of anxiety.
It is also used to relieve the symptoms of acute alcohol withdrawal and to help in treating certain convulsive disorders such as epilepsy.
This drug can be addictive so be careful.
Please see your GP about any other questions or concerns about what certain drugs are for if you're not sure.
Cheers
