Hello, so I am about 4 1/2 weeks pregnant and found out on Monday and it was a very shocking wake up call for both my boyfriend and I. We are both 16 -my boyfriend turning 17 this month. We had been fooling around a few weeks prior and used protection and we thought nothing of it afterwards. Last week, I was due for AF and began having all the symptoms of PMS, sore breasts, mild cramps, emotional, etc. I felt as if it could come any moment, but unfortunately it did not come. I took a test this Monday, which verified that I am indeed pregnant. He and I were both baffled and because we are not ready, nor can afford a baby, we thought of the first possible thing to do - abort. Growing more fond of the idea, we tried setting up an appointment, but the only clinic is two hours away, and they would only be able to fit us in during the weekday... Which doesn't work for either of us due to us still both in school.
We then thought about adoption and I would like to hear some experiences from women/girls who chose adoption and what it was like.
We also thought about trying to raise the baby anyways, but being in school and many other aspects would make raising a baby at our age very difficult. I would like to hear some experiences from teen mothers about what it's like to raise the baby and if they dropped out of school and whatnot.
All answers are kindly appreciated. Xoxo
Also I am not sure why this post is in the abortion section.. I apologize for that.
