I'm sexually active, my hubby and i don't use nothing to prevent me getting preg thats why sometimes i think to myself i might be pregnant an other times i think its all in my head, I've tried 4 preg tests all came up negative . I also feel sick (but never been) and really tired. It kinda reminds me of when i was preg but feels so different. Everytime i think i'm gona start i never do i'm still breastfeeding my 11 month old son. PLEASE help, i hate feeling puzzled like this %-) (thankz 4 reading)!
Hi: A lot of women use breastfeeding for contraception it is called the LAM method, I found this for you:
Lactational Amenorrhea Method
The Lactational Amenorrhea Method (LAM) of family planning takes advantage of the natural decline in fertility provided by breastfeeding. However, practicing breastfeeding for birth control is different than general breastfeeding. Specific guidelines are required to achieve the 98% or higher effectiveness rate that is possible with this method.6-9
Three conditions must be met to ensure the highest efficacy of LAM.6,8-10 One, the woman must "fully" or "nearly fully" breastfeed her infant (often referred to as "exclusive" or "complete" breastfeeding). Two, the woman must remain amenorrheic. Three, the method is most effective during the first 6 months postpartum. Nipple stimulation is essential for effectiveness, which means the mother must be feeding frequently (including nighttime) for the method to work. Regular feeding supplementation, either formula, water, or solids, and the use of a pacifier (which reduce the total suckling stimulus directed to the nipple) should be avoided. (Figure 1)
I know that your periods can be wonky, as ovulation is affected by the breastfeeding. Now if you are feeling sick and tired, that could be either pregnancy or other problems. So Go ge checked out, because you need to have anything with your ovaries ruled out. Because if you have something like Cystisis then it will affect your periods, plus make you sick and tired. I hope this helps you!
