I'm at age 13 and have not yet gotten my period. I have this white/ clear substance comming out of my lower area. I'm too embarsed to tell my parents because they are not that kind to understand. I've had this happen almost everyday. How can I prevent this and what can I do about it? Please respond.

Yeah this has been happening to me, I am the same age and I haven't gotten my period. Although maybe it means it coming or you just have to wait it out? Im not sure... :/
Sounds like cervical fluid. I wouldn't worry :-)
ya im the same age too but i have my period and when i dont i have the same problem
yeah i have this problem. im 14 and i have started my period. sometimes after i finger my self it happens. i dont know why and i would like to know :-( o.O
ya it happens to me too, every single day!!! im the same age, its creepy. i don't no y. i told my mom, and she called the doctor they said to take aveno baths. im on my period and it still happens, soo ya.

The whitish fluid is called discharge.
It's completely normal to have it (well, if your a girl anyway. If your a guy, I recommend you see a doctor o.O ) Glands inside your vagina and cervix make small amounts of fluid. This fluid flows out of the vagina each day, carrying out old cells that have lined the vagina. This is your body's way of keeping your vagina healthy and clean.
The color and thickness of the discharge change with your monthly cycle. The discharge is thicker when you ovulate (when one of your ovaries releases an egg), or when you're sexually excited. It also occurs when your getting near to starting your period.

i keep getting this too. i have no idea what it is and i have had a few periods. it just wont go away!

i have the same problem too.There's white stuff coming out of my vagina and onto my underwear and i can feel it coming. It doesn't itch but when it comes out onto my underwear it gets hard after awhile and i just don't know if this is normal. I do not want to talk to my mom about this because I think I'm going through a stage of puberty where I don't like talking to my parents. Please respond. :-(
