I am 19 and I have been experiencing a large increase in discharege latley. I am a virgin and prior to the discharge is fooled around with one guy and he penetrated me halfway, but did not ejaculate inside of me. Then the discharge started or I just stared paying more attention to it because i was terrified of having an STD of some sort. The discharge was not bothersome until about 2 months later when it was so much that i CONSTANTLY FELT WETNESS. It does NOT smell bad, itch, burn or anything. He checked for presence of yeast, however yeast is always there and he said that since i am NOT having any irritation, itching, burning, or inflammation it could possibly be from stress and obsessing over me having an STD of some sort. He told me to relax and that i am perfectly fine. The discharge went away a little after that, but i was still worried and so my doctor did a pap smear, a chlamydia & ghonnorhea test and he also did blood work for HIV and Syphillis. Everything came back NEGATIVE. The tests were 13 weeks since that last guy. I also have not been with anybody since. Also i was on the pill (yasmin) for regulation for a year and i just stopped two months ago. The discharge is white in color, it is constantly there, it makes me really uncomfotable because i am always feeling wet....WHAT CAN IT BE? Is anybody having excessive white discharge with no other symptoms? Is this normal? Could it be because i stopped using the pill (hormonal change)? 8-| 8-| 8-|

Hi! I also have excessive vaginal discharge almost all the time and it gets even more excessive during ovulation and just before my periods. I was just like you obsessing about it but after my gynecologist did a couple of tests that turned out to be negative, I calmed down and realized it is the way it is with me. I could be wearing the pad all the time though.
Anyway, what kind of hormonal problems did you have? I know that excessive estrogen can cause excessive discharge.
The difference between me and you is that you are not having any sex and I am regularly, and I was told that a lot of sex could be also contributing to excessive mucus.
I reckon the only thing you can do is accept the discharge and it may go away after you start stressing about it.

It's very normal to have discharge (or cervical fluid, if you want to be PC ;-) )
BUT if the discharge looks like cottage cheese (clumps of white rather than creamy-lotiony) then, this is a yeast infection and an over-the-counter cure can help (canesten, monistat...etc) make sure to choose the one that takes more than one application, I'd go for the 7 day one, just to be sure.
Discharge through out the cycle changes: right after the period ends, the discharge may be a lot like lotion, creamy, smooth. Closer to ovulation, it becomes clearer (but not guaranteed) and slippery. As soon as you ovulate, the fluid becomes thick and sticky.
A good book to read is "Taking Charge Of Your Fertility".
Some women have tons of fluid, some have none.
I used to have tons and now that I'm closer to menopause, things are drying up. 8-|

Hi there. I have this white substance inside the vagina and also there is no itch, smell or something that can indicate to some infection or similar things. It usually happens to me when I am about to get my period, and it goes away for three days, but now it lasts for 15 days. The only thing that really bothers me is that I have too many of this discharge and I think that this is ugly. But, no smell or anything similar. So, any idea what this can be? I am almost sure that I am not sick or infected...

wow i've been reading alot of things about vaginal secretions and the more i read...the more confused I get...
almost every day I have some sort of discharge usually white...not thick...i suppose lotiony stuff...
but..and this is gross but I put my finger in last week (which I did cause...I'm gay and that's a BIG part of regular sex for me...I wanted to know if everything was ok) and there is this white...not so lotiony stuff going on in there...I mean I suppose it's like the cottage cheese thing but that doesn't seem to be what's in my underwear....I'm very confused...it's not coming out like that on my underwear and there is NO odor so I don't know what to make of it....

Like lavagirl said, unless its like clumpy then you're fine. If there's chucks, clumps or pieces or anything in it (yes I know this sounds disgusting :-P) then you need to see a gyno or take something for it. If its just a smooth liquid then its just regular fluid regardless of quantity. I used to be really wet all the time too, but now its just the week before my period starts (ovulation?) or when I'm excited... :$ 8-|

well I'm kind of like that too,..it's not clumpy it's lotion...and SOMETIMES it smells and I get itchy from time to time,..some days are thicker than others...i hate it because it feels like I started my period and there's a puddle of blood in my underwear (sorry so gross.. :-( ) i went to get a pap and he keeps diagnosing it as a yeast infection,..and gives me meds..but that only works for the time I take it,..then I have intercourse or something and it's back again a few days later...first the itching like CRAZY...then the discharge is super thick...then sometimes smell,..but that comes and goes and is rare,..then the discharge thins out and it's yellowish-white, white, then turns clear,..then my menstrual starts and afterward,..it stars all over again...
I don't' like to douche because I feel like that just makes it worse...and I'm not really sure what else to do about it,..I worry about sleeping with my bf like he'll catch something...so I ask him from time to time if he feels different, he says no and shows me,..so I know he's not hiding anything and there's nothing different with him,...so I dont' think he can get whatever i have...

I have the same exact issues. I am always wet. I have a clear or white discharge all the time. I have two doctors because I always like to have a second opinion. One doc says I am totally normal and the other one says it looks normal, but gives me medication for BV. I just keeps coming back though and my doctors say I am fine. I am under a lot of stress, but this sucks. I constantly feels like I started my period. I have no idea what to do. I am only with one guy who has no symptoms. I don't understand why my body has changed like this. I has only been like this for like 2 years. I have not always had these symptoms. What is going on? I t is embarrassing. I don't want my boyfriend to go down on me if there is a discharge. Any thoughts? :$

Thanks for posting the topic. I am always wet since I was 13 and now I am 36. It is not related to a virgin or not. Some time is lear no color, some time sikIt is rarly having a day dry! I felt very wory about myself and I went to a female doctor to check it out. She did a pap smear and cultivaton for yeast or bacteria. Every thing was negative :-( I was not happy with the result since thing happen should within a reason. The doctor reply me that I should be happy. Some ladies are like that and she is also one of the person! o.O

I am also related to you but I am 14 but I am also a full virgin. I'm thinking that it is not caused by stress because I barely have any on that part. I think you should also go to the doctor's because it's not yeast. The doctor's didn't exactly tell me what it was so all they told me was it's nothing bad and they asked a couple times whether I was having intercourse or not and of course I havn't. :-) :-D

thank everybody for replying to this post cause im exactly the same wayy and yea me too its embarrassing i was nervous wen it was my first time to have sex and wen my boyfriend went down on me cause i thought f**k wont he think im gross so i can relate but from what ive experienced and from wut you have all said the best thing to do is take a shower a lot lol that helps it makes you feel clean so you dont feel wet...make sure you dry yourself good after the shower i know that sounds like a duhh comment but youd be surprised if you dont dry urself all the way you stay moist and it contributes to the wet feeling you get.. also guys really dont take notice to it...REALLY, lol i know how u all feel but its normal. once i realized THAT and realized that im not the only one going threw it annnnd stopped paying attention to it, it stopped buggin me :-)))) hopefully i contributed thankks

If you are having lots of discharge and you are itchy or have a fowl oder get checked for vaginal bacteria, its often mistaken for yest infections. You dont have to have all the symptoms to have it.
