I really want to ask you to NOT worry!
This vaginal discharge that you're all experiencing is absolutely NORMAL! :D
I just want to offer you all a little advice that you may or may not find useful, so, here goes...
Soon after your menstrual cycle (period), you might notice a sticky or tacky secretion.
Immediately prior to ovulation (when your ovaries release an egg), most women usually detect increased vaginal secretions that are wet and slippery (very similar to the consistancy of a...wait for it... raw egg white! Gross, I know, but if you check frequently you will begin to notice this)
Generally, your body produces the largest amout of this type of vaginal discharge is on the day of ovulation. (When you're most likely to get pregnant, ladies!)
After the day of ovulation (when your body has released the egg), your vaginal discharge will gradually get thicker and less secreted.
ALL of these different "types" of cervical fluid CAN give off a slight smell.
Other things that MAY affect your.. *ahem*.."bodily fluids" are:
Vaginal infection or sexually transmitted disease
Sexual excitement
Use of lubricants during intercourse or recent male ejaculation
(I know which I'd prefere it to be...) :)
Douching - according to some medical specialists douching is seen to be a bad idea as this has been linked to Cervical Cancer
Breastfeeding
Pre-menopause (when the body prepares to stop releasing eggs and therefore stops the monthly cycle)
Surgery performed on the cervix
I have shared this information with you to help you put your minds at ease.
If non of this information applies to you and you are still worried then PLEASE see your doctor or gynocologist.
Good luck ladies and I hope this has helped answer your questions.
H2H :)

well I'm kind of like that too,..it's not clumpy it's lotion...and SOMETIMES it smells and I get itchy from time to time,..some days are thicker than others...i hate it because it feels like I started my period and there's a puddle of blood in my underwear (sorry so gross.. :( ) i went to get a pap and he keeps diagnosing it as a yeast infection,..and gives me meds..but that only works for the time I take it,..then I have intercourse or something and it's back again a few days later...first the itching like CRAZY...then the discharge is super thick...then sometimes smell,..but that comes and goes and is rare,..then the discharge thins out and it's yellowish-white, white, then turns clear,..then my menstrual starts and afterward,..it stars all over again...
I don't' like to douche because I feel like that just makes it worse...and I'm not really sure what else to do about it,..I worry about sleeping with my bf like he'll catch something...so I ask him from time to time if he feels different, he says no and shows me,..so I know he's not hiding anything and there's nothing different with him,...so I dont' think he can get whatever i have...
But i've been dealing with this for about 3-4 years now...I took OTC yeast infection meds for it and it doesn't go away,..but I didn't always have this problem,...so I was wondering if there was something I was missing..but there are others here that have my similar issues,... so I'm thinking this is just something that happens to some people?

I went to my Dr to get checked for an infection, she said she noticed a slight bacterial infection. I took the meds, and it helped for a while, but after 2 weeks the discharge came back. Then, thinking I had Cystolic Vaginosis (too much good bacteria) I tried ACV vaginal baths, sitz baths with baking soda, hydrogen peroxide washes, EVERYTHING no change! I also noticed that I had grayish discharge when I wiped, and sometimes I would spot when I wiped. I tried probiotics, EVERYTHING. Went back to the DR and she said my yeast/bacteria balance looked fine, nothing looked abnormal.
I stopped using tampons for a few months, still no change. Once I thought it was okay to use a tampon, I put one in, and immediately took it out because it hurt like HELL. After I took it out, I was extremely sore and swollen.
FINALLY - I read something that vaginitis or irritation to the vulva can cause the wetness. It's not really discharge from the vagina, but it's the vulva weeping because it is trying to heal. Sometimes this can come from a toilet paper allergy - using too rough TP or bleached (chlorinated) TP. I was in a new work environment with the cheap 2 ply stuff.
FINALLY it clicked - maybe this is why I was bleeding when I wiped? So...I stopped using TP and started using wipes instead. Use the most gentle, hypoallergenic kind you can. I use Pampers Sensitive. Within weeks, I saw a big difference. No more discharge, no more bleeding when I wipe, I feel like I finally have my vagina back after months!
The wipes are wet after you wipe, so I usually pat it dry so that I don't have excess wetness.
I hope this helps some of you out there too...I was thinking it was everything else but finally found a solution.

i'm 14, and have discharge. it's the same for everygirl.
some just have more then others.
i've never had sex, and never had anyone down in 'that ' area, so it's not because of std's or anything.
if it looks like cottage cheese, you might have a yeast infection.
otherwise, you're fine. :-)
