I am a 49-year-old woman. At the end of 2009, I had a full physical after feeling dragged out, sick, having lots of random, unexplained pain and feeling generally unwell for over two years. My blood labs showed my B12 was very low. I've been taking an oral supplement for seven months, but honestly, I feel no different. My energy hasn't improved, either.

My diet is balanced and healthy--I don't eat junk. A nutritionist has reviewed my diet and made a few minor tweaks, but she said that my diet is excellent, overall. I am a vegetarian, but I eat eggs and lots of dairy and I've taken a multi-B supplement for years, so I don't understand where this B12 deficiency is coming from.
