Hi, I’ve been living with my boyfriend for the last couple of years. He was very assisting when we moved in, but then he lost interest in helping me with the house choirs. I don’t understands how isn’t he ashamed to let me do all the work. Why do men have issues about house choirs?

My husband also had issues about house choirs, but he had to change his attitude when we started living together. His mother served him all his life as if he was a sultan, so he expected me to do the same. I don’t mind cooking, cleaning the kitchen and washing the laundry, but he has his share too. House choirs should be shared by all the members of that house. A century ago, when women didn’t have proper jobs and when they stayed at home, it was all right for them to do all the house choirs and to take care of the children. But today, when we have the same jobs as men, why would all the burden of house choirs have to be on our back? It’s just not fair. A man doesn’t have to be genius to understand that, he just has to respect you. Sometimes, I am willing to do even more than him, but only if I see that he appreciates that.
