Exactly the same happened to me, did this sort itself out? I'm in the uk so I use a different brand of evening primrose by Boots and high strength, its weird how many women have experienced the same thing yet healthcare professionals all say it can't delay it, we'll I'm also in healthcare and believe it or not you can't say that about any medication or herbal medication, things happen we can't account for regardless of this.

Well I've stopped taking it and my periods came back as normal and on time, so definitely that, think I will start taking that when I'm in the menopause, I'm taking ashwagandha, redeliver, maca root and linseed oil capsules instead and it does slightly different things but good stuff all of them something to think about depending what you are using it for

Hello.

It's possible that taking evening primrose oil (EPO) may have an effect on your menstrual cycle, although this is not a commonly reported side effect. Evening primrose oil is known for its potential health benefits, including reducing inflammation, improving skin health, and helping to regulate hormones.

However, some women have reported changes to their menstrual cycle when taking EPO, including delayed periods or lighter bleeding. The exact reason for this is not well understood, but it may be related to the way EPO affects hormone levels in the body.

If you are experiencing a delayed period and you have been taking EPO, it's possible that the two are related. However, it's also possible that there are other factors contributing to the delay, such as stress, changes in weight or diet, or an underlying medical condition.

Maybe you should get it checked, if you haven't already been to the doctor.

I can respect that theory and information, my issue was clearly just taking the EPO and corrected itself after stopping using this, and I know people will gasp when I say this but I won't be visiting any medical professionals ie GP for any conditions. in the UK this is something that I have no faith in and also working in this are I see a lot of things, Iwill stick to homoeopathy, as this for myself is my own personal decision and works for me the best, if I had anything falling off or a serious issue I would then only visit A&E, people may comment thinking people like myself are stupid but far from it and know my owning and body.

Of course, the decision to use alternative therapies or seek medical treatment is a personal one that should be based on your own beliefs, preferences, and healthcare needs.

Everyone has the right to make their own decisions about their health and wellbeing.

If EPO stopped my period should I be concerned about my health?

If you are taking EPO (evening primrose oil) and it has caused your period to stop, it's not necessarily a cause for concern, as this is a known side effect of EPO.

It is important to note that EPO is a natural supplement, and while it may have some potential health benefits, it can also have side effects and interact with other medications. It is always a good idea to talk to your healthcare provider before starting any new supplements or medications, especially if you have a history of medical conditions or are currently taking other medications.

Do you have any other symptoms?
