I wonder that if taking circumcision, will the frenulum be cut also or not? If frenulum be cut or torn fully during intercourse, Is there any side effect for healthy and intercourse? Thanks a lot!
Hi,
Good question. The best answer will come from the doctor, hopefully a urologist, performing the surgery.
I say that because no two circumcisions are the same. They can be cut high, leaving a lot of foreskin, or low, removing most. Sometimes the frenulum is cut.
If the frenulum tears during intercourse you can have some pain and blood. It is also likely to tear again.
Hope that helps, post back if you have any more questions/concerns.
Good luck

Thanks! So do you think it will affect the quality of intercourse or not ? if the frenulum is cut or torn entirely, which means that it will not tear again. Will there be some erection issue?
No, there shouldn't be an erection issue if the frenulum tears. It may/may not heal correctly and is likely to tear again. If it's cut, well, it's cut. The real issue, in my opinion, is that the frenulum has a lot of nerves in it and is very sensitive. I'd hate to miss out on that.
Really? because I have heard from some different sources (maybe those were just stories) that there are some chances for erection issues, when we are talking about male circumcision. I don't know, maybe this friend of mine was one in the million case, but I am not so sure anymore because he told me that he is not happy since that day and that he doesn't know what to do about this whole situation. Also, he told me that he is very sensitive when it comes to this and that still he feels some pain....Is that normal?
Can the frenulum be retained in an infant circumcision using a Gomco, Mogen or Plastibell method? What method do you recommend for retaining the most inner foreskin and frenulum? Who is the best choice for performing a routine infant circumcision? Pediatrician, obstetrician, or urologist?
