I have been taking vicoden for about 3 years I have cut myself back to only 3 a day. I am not sure of the milligrams I know it was 10 mg of codine I would buy them from different people. How bad will the withdrawals be and how long will they last?
Hello, and to begin with, it sounds like you are speaking about Vicodin 10's, and it is actually hydrocodone that your talking about that is the addictive ingredient. You have not said how much a day you had been using and I hate to be the bad guy, but it will not be easy getting off and staying off of them by yourself. Inpatient detox and then outpatient treatment is your best chance at quitting, or even some type of outpatient detox like a methadone clinic or even suboxone..but you should really seek your doctors advice on this matter. Even with treatment, the road to recovery is a long and hard one, but one not to be taken alone...so please try and seek some professional help..you will be glad you did. I wish you well!
