Yeast infection burn and itch gone but the white milky discharge remains.

Hey, I got a yeast infection and used a Miconazole 1 1 day treatment.  It's been about 3 days and I have no itching or burning at all, even when I stop use of the anti itch cream that comes in the kit, but when I have discharge it still has the consistency of cottage cheese.  Is this normal in the process of healing for a yeast infection?
