Hi everyone, I'm an 18 year old male. Just today, I had noticed my girlfriend had a yellow lump in her vagina. When I saw it, it looked a bit like a stye that you would get on your eye. We did have unprotected sex a few days ago, but we stopped before it got too far. I have never had anything similar on my penis, so I hope this is not an STD. Is there anything that we should be worried about? I mean I was able to get a good look and see that it looked like a stye (best way I can describe it). Please help me. I want to do something before anything happens to her, as well as us.

Thanks so much.
Was it on the outside? It could be just an ingrown hair or cyst (usually pus filled). I would suggest she sees a doctor, but it is probably not an STI

I would get her to have it checked out, it could be genital warts or herpes. Use protection until you know for sure that it cannot be passed on.

it's probably a yeast infection make sure to use a bar of soup before having sex. I feel bad for you and your girlfriend now you both might get warts. Word of advise i just saw the same thing in my vagina and i used a pen a poped it. :'( it hurt.... use a sharp point for quick and relieving results..

Even though this is an old topic, I'm going to reply to what Guest said on 12/18/07 in case someone is reading this topic and wants to take her advice.Guest suggests to use a bar of soap before having sex. If you want a yeast infection, by all means use soap. If not, do not use a bar of soap in or around your vagina. Use water or cleaning products specifically for that area. Soap is a huge cause for yeast infections! This Guest also suggests popping the bump with a pen - please do not do that either! If it's a boil for example, popping it might cause it to come back bigger and better. Go to a doctor, check out what it is and if it needs to be popped, the doctor will do it for you in a sterile and safe way. Also, this Guest feels sorry for you for having genital warts even though she herself most likely carries HPV as well, just like every other person who ever had sex in their life (even if you only had sex with 1 person). But to be honest, I don't think this is genital warts or herpes because that practically always comes in clusters. It is most likely something way more innocent and will pass within a week. Just to be sure, you're better off seeing a doctor.
