Avoid Developing Sexual Dysfunction – Men Pay Attention!
“Use it or lose it.” I’m sure you’ve the saying. Believe it or not, when it comes to sexual dysfunction, the saying really applies. According to David Freeman (2010), WebMD contributor, a study in the American Journal of Medicine found that men who have sexual intercourse less than once per week were more likely to develop erectile dysfunction.
How does this relate back to exercise?

Drumm (2016) states,
“Persons who are physically fit generally have higher self-esteem and improved body image--both enhancing a person’s confidence about engaging in sex and elevating how he/she feels about ‘self’ in the process. A person who feels better about his/herself is at lower risk of developing sexual dysfunction.”
Heart Health
Increasing your heart rate is important for working the most important muscle in your body, your heart. If you’ve listened to advertisements for Viagra on television, you’ve heard the commercial tell you to check with your doctor to see if your heart is healthy enough for sexual activity.
Why would Viagra tell men to make sure their heart is healthy enough for sex?
A man’s heart rate can increase to 130 beats per minute (BPM) during sexual activity. For otherwise healthy men who work out, this is not an issue. However, if you are out of shape, 130 BPM can be strenuous even though 130 BPM is only considered mild to moderate on a heart stress spectrum.
Therefore, keeping yourself physically well through exercise can lead to a longer, more satisfying sex life well into your 50s, 60s, and even 70s.
Physical Activity Releases Sex Hormones
Whether you go out for a pleasurable run or hit the gym floor for heavy weight training, your body is doing way more than just exercising. Chemical reactions start firing off.
You’ve heard of runner’s high; you know how amazing you feel after leaving the gym. This is not coincidence; it’s caused by dopamine, the feel good chemical.
Sticking to a regular exercise routine increases your dopamine levels. Dopamine benefits your body by suppressing appetite, which helps you avoid weight gain, and it is linked to orgasms. Exercise helps both men and women to have superior orgasms which will keep both parties sexually interested and active.

Both men and women who experience low testosterone have lower sex drive and less pleasurable sex. Thankfully, exercise could be part of the cure. Exercise has been shown to increase the natural testosterone in both males and females, and it fuels your sex drive.
Conclusion:
Now that you’re up to date on physical education and sex education, what’s not to love about fitness?
Exercise is a powerful tool when it comes to the bedroom. Staying fit will not only bring overall health benefits, but it helps to power your bedroom performance and maybe the number of times you get to perform in your life.
