Believe it or not, fitness and sex do go hand in hand. Your body is a temple, so love and appreciate it, and have fun while your at it! Here are a few hot exercise facts you wish you'd known sooner.

Staying healthy may mean doing what you don't like, eating foods you don't enjoy and avoiding drinking whenever possible. However, if you could really enjoy those things, you'd be a lot happier and healthier. Sex is one of those things that some enjoy more than others, but is a fundamental part of human existence. Women who have sex regularly report having better sex than their sedentary counterparts. Exercising just a few times per week can change the game for women who have mediocre sex. Regular exercise leads to being able to be aroused more easily, and reach orgasm sooner and more often than women who are sedentary.

9. Women who exercise regularly have a more active sex life

In addition to having better sex, women who exercise often tend to also have a more active sex life. These women feel comfortable taking control of their sexual needs and desires, and putting them into action. Better sex, when and how they want it, is characteristic of physically active women!

10. Sex makes for good exercise!

Possibly the best argument for having sex, sex makes really good exercise! Getting down with your lover increases heart rate, changes metabolic rate, stretches muscles, and burns calories. That's right! Sex is a simple, fun, workout! An average session may last about 30 minutes from start to finish, and you'll burn anywhere from 50 to 100 calories. This is dependent upon body type, size, position, intensity and more. However, a healthy couple will turn it on 3 times per week, which works out to anywhere from 7,500 to 15,000 calories per year!

In addition, regular, healthy sex really is good for you. It has the same effect as ordinary exercise does on your system. Reducing stress, improving sleep quality, improving energy, and reducing the risk of developing heart disease and other health risks.

If you ever though that sex was not connected to health and fitness, you were dead wrong! Sex is a healthy, natural part of human life, and it should be treated as such. Keeping yourself feeling and looking sexy means taking care of your body by staying active, and eating well. This combination means a happier, healthier sex life. For both women and men, keeping physically well means feeling sexy and fantastic, so be sure to take care of your body, too!
